Thief II: The Dancing Zombies Easter Egg

The closest crates are located on the west side of the main entrance. The storage room between the main entrance and the training room has 3 crates, and the storage area to the rear of the training room has 4. You can scale the wall with only one crate if you time your jump just right. The zombies can't see you, but they do react to sound. So if they stop dancing, climb over the wall and back again.

I remember finding it as a kid, just throwing a cam over the fence out of curiousity. Back then, you always thought there is an entire world hidden beyond your reach. I was so shocked to see these fools 🤣

hahah I remember when I found these two, was such a crackup! All they need is some music! You can actually jump over the wall and get right up close to them, you can't kill them though.

I can actually get over the wall and go attack the zombies. They don't fight back or even dance much if you go up to them.

Thanks, StainSk8! You're absolutely right. By itself, the game runs fine but bogs down with Fraps running in the background while recording. I've since then tweeked my machine using The Ultimate Troubleshooter and also bought a new computer.

I read about this egg on Eeggs' website. They list 4 eggs for Thief 2, but I believe that there may be more. I submitted the "Thief II: Backward Messages" egg, but they either didn't get it or don't believe me.

I can't either. At first, I thought that it had something to do with losing my Ligos Indeo Video Codecs, but now, I think that it has something to do with installing Windows Service Pack 3, or both. Are you running Windows Vista or Windows XP SP3?

Indeo video codecs are needed to play in-game movies. My game played fine but eventually, it started skipping the movies. I was content with that. However, it suddenly started hanging up and giving error messages. I reinstalled Indeo video codecs and now, it works fine.

the engine cant cope with multi core processes, u have 2 start the game, the bring up the task manager and set the processor affinity to just the one instead of both, that fixed it for me, its a ball ache but it works

well i actualy gathered all the cutsceans for the thief series and all the missing parts of the story. made up a new intro for every game and a total intro for the series and an outro then i made a movie called THIEF TRILOGY. 2 hours containing all the story. i posted samples here on youtube.come under the name thief trilogy

@yponoman Run Thief II in Windows 98/XP compatibility (to play the videos) and set your processors affinity to 1 processor. Google 'Thief II affinity' for a proper tutorial.
