Looking back it’s amazing Cowboys won the way they did most of their early games this season. Offensive line was god awful and injured, Mike McCarthy was either conservative playcalling or fucking around and finding out, and Prescott looked slow and tentative. They went for the 4th and 3 to get a first down inside the 20 yard line and try to score a TD in the redzone. Their redzone efficiency was a point of emphasis all week long for the Cowboys. Also, being up 28 points near the end of the 3rd quarter allowed them to make risks. If it was a closer game, they would have taken the points. As for their defense, it's the old adage "Defense wins games." It's gotten muddled a bit with teams like the Dolphins winning last week scoring 70, but this week couldn't win against a better defense. The Cowboys have always had the mentality of defense first even back with Aikman, Irvin and Smith they had a stellar defense.

What gets me is you're saying our offense is terrible. and they shouldn't try fake field goals or going for it on 4th down? the only way to get better in those situations is to do the reps, why not do them when we are up? and if it fails it wont cost the game. what doesn't make sense to me is every week people say the team the cowboys are facing are immaculate, jets defense, patriots team as a whole. and its always cowboys are gonna lose and then when they win. the team they played against becomes terrible.
