Um. I know this video is old, but I've been scratching my head trying to find a good FNX holster. This is darn near exactly what I've been looking for!
Again, this is the exact video I needed to see! Gonna bend some kydex this weekend on an iwb custom glock 19 with rmr cut, and a southpaw m&p 5" performance center with rmr cut, olight pl2, qls fork, with this level 2 hood. A fundamental when from drawing from the holster is hitting the webbing of your hand to the tang of the grip. With this consideration, I set the locking mechanism closer to the ejection port/toward the muzzle. Basically aligning the thumb ramp .25"-.5" from the back strap. Make sure you block out the opposing hole so the pivot is aligned accordingly. The provided strap will probably be too short so just make your own strap out of .06" kydex. This establishes a better purchase and more consistent grip on the gun when drawing from the holster. The compromise is that the further forward you mount the lvl 2 mechanism the higher the holster will ride but you have to make sure your qls fork or rti plate has enough space apart. Also, I'd use 1/8" rubber spacers between the kydex and the lvl 2 locking mechanism for more clearance. BTW taping up the mag is great advice!
Tape everything. The molds have a shrinkage of like .008 or something similar. Tape bumps out the material so it doesn't ride along the firearms finish. Always tape real guns. Molds are just easier
Love the videos. Question.. About a month and a half ago I purchased an IWB appendix holster from Tier1. With no updates on my order for over a month, last minute Agency notified me of a restock on their compensators. I contacted Tier1 right away to add the note for it to to be added to my holster, they told me my holster was already made and getting ready to ship. I’m finally building my dream carry Glock and this holster was meant to house it. Is there anyway to fix this issue with the holster so I can add my compensator when my slide comes back from Agency? Thank you!!
Can you do this setup for a G22, black multi cam kydex, for 1.75- 2” belt, with OLight pl pro Valkyrie , how much would that run? Just wondering, can you do a level 4 retention holster?
I have a guy that wants me to make a holster for him. It is a M&P 4 inch with a Crimson trace rail master. I can’t find any molds out there for something like that and I don’t have the light. Are there any light molds that are compatible like the TLR1 or anything?
dropping the holster all other your work bench and using it to scrape scrapings off the work bench isn't a good thing lol people just going to get a scratched up holster....
I have had countless holsters from "Companys" that are nicked up and scratched. Taking precaution and the respect of the costumer i would hope people would take pride to insure quality Controle is at its highest. People don't want to know that there product is being handled like a broom to get debris of the table. I have seen people make quality holster and the way they treat the product is to insure that it is in perfect condition for when the "PAYING CUSTEMER" receives it....your products don't look bad just understanding that people might be considering buying a holster from you and be turned away after seeing how you handle your product. Don't just take offence to a negative criticism but use it to make your work better. cause at the end of the day your costumers are who keep your holster buissness going.
@@Natdog123nv if I use a holster to swipe a bench it's a portion that gets cut off. If it happens. Dropping things happen. But doesn't get dings or nicked. I can show you a pile of holsters that have a nick or a sand spot in the wrong area that are put in a discount bin. You seeing one video and goin on about handling product doesn't constitute that that's how I handle all products.
@@FalTacUnlimitedLLC u used that holster after it was cut and sanded to sweep off the bench. I loss track on how many times you dropped the holster on the bench....I have watch a couple of your videos that’s why I had to say something...
