Probably the best male-female bharatanatyam duets ever performed. The chemistry, the choice of steps, choreography, finish and total alignment of energies - outstanding!
Who is your guru who imparted this art form to you? He or she must be feeling so blessed ! Ofcourse everything after is an inspiration from your past lives . Simply amazing both of you
I am writing this comment in regards to your dance performance in Madhura Bhavam at a Metro Station - Alex - That metro station is madhuram...your dance is madhuram...your guru is madhuram....your effort to post is madhuram...and all of this and more is madhuram. I pray to the lord that I get many opportunities to serve bhagavathas like you. I bow to you and the lord in you in utter obeisance. Radhey Radhey!
I started out watching the fusion belly dance.Which I loved. Then after about a year and a half of fusion I started seeing the eastern. Influence more.I must admit im entranced with the whole culture now.The costumes, the story's of the dances origin and the music.Thank you for sharing it with me
What an astounding duet!! Your movements are so perfectly synchronized... Like inhale and exhale are ultimately inseparable and are one flow - in the same way your duet flows in an ecstatic celebration of the Divine!
Thank you for sharing your work with us! I love this thillana, and I love your interpretation. The lady maintains such a majestic mien! Pavitra ananda!
Narthana ,and lasya is really gives immense hapyness to viewers and also to performers. These couples are happy children of Lord Shiva, and Parvathi.Ananda natyam abhinandanarham.
Excellent performance !
Wonderful performance and great respect to you as well as your passion towards the art of dance. Feeling proud! Much much better than my fellow dancers here...All the very best!
I watch his (Nataraj) dance at least few times in a week, this is my favorite. Honestly each time i saw i feel an unknown happiness blooms inside me....Thanks a lot Nataraj and the female dancer...
It is difficult find words to adore these duo's dance performance to great thillana of Sri Swati thirunal saint King. Excellent, excellent, excellent.............. excellent.
Beautifully danced. Dedicated dancers. A small suggestion? The lady dancer needs to be a little more “Indian woman” in her “Nalinam”. She is very graceful. But Nalinam is more than graceful. It is something like, say, the winding of a creeper, the sway of an elephant as it walks, the undulation of its neck when a swan turns its head. It is the absolute Feminine.
Thanks for posting this. It is so gently beautiful! Every time I see this performance, I want to spend my entire life in tapasya just to see a similar performance from Shiva & Parvati, and wonder how much more beautiful it would be by them.
Somehow, when westerners perform Bharatanatyam, it's much more organic, you can feel the closeness, if that is what the dance intends to convey. Indian dancers are shackled by centuries of ingrained 'modesty'. Westerners, on the other hand try to emote what they have read about Hindu culture, not the prevailing Islamised culture of India. On the other hand, I may be completely off-base.
we dont grow up around it. when a westerner learns its because they really want to, because there is so much that we have to learn that culturally only exists in india/desi communities
I think I understand what you want to convey, and maybe that is true in some cases. However, Bharatnatyam was traditionally performed by women dancers, portraying themselves as devotees of their beloved God...and there are powerful dancers who emote the Bhava and Lasya extremely well. Yakshagana was the dance form that the young men practiced. In this performance, Gaura Narayan is clearly the more skilled one while his partner can use a bit more of finesse.
Mr. Vijay, you are almost correct, just see his Dedication not only on dance but also physical health. so fit for the dance, he is a great dancer I love his performance :)
Unbelievable.......good grace and rhythm with a good background music.......can we get a link to download the audio of this thillana....... thanks in advance 🙏
Namaskaram sir 🙏🙏🙏 yours each and every performance is excellent... In this thillana some variety steps I had seen.. Im trying to learn it. Thankyou thankyou sir 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hi guys! My name is Aahlad. I am a self dancer and i learnt my dance and the trainer is Lord Nataraja. Remember in life when you dance you must keep a nataraja figure. I have told to many dancers keep the nataraja figure. I am the self dancer. I have trained myself. I have danced many many times. Please guys remember in life when you dance keep the nataraja figure. Because he is the masters of masters of dance. Even when I dance i keep the nataraja figure
That was beyond phenomenal. No doubt about it. Pranams to the dancers and the team. But am I the only one who felt a bit uncomfortable in the last ending pose?
