I said it before, I don't play poker, I don't drink coffee but I've been here since Troop moved to Vegas. The story is (was) about a single guy trying to make it in Las Vegas, that's why I come back here. I got to go to Trooper Thursday, met Trooper, got a cap and did the Las Vegas thing feeling less stupid because of what I learned on this vlog. Troop has matured as we all do and now with Lady Trooper he is merging into another chapter of his life. I can't wait to see what happens.👍

What he is saying is that Trooper can’t even beat the low stakes consistently anymore. How can you play that much poker and never progress and improve to the higher levels? It’s crazy. Smart to try something else at this point. The wife appears to have more business sense. She is a keeper. Hopefully it works out.

Very much agree. Back in 2007 when I first visited Vegas the poker room at Planet Hollywood was very much poker player directed. It was a separate room with a back wall containing snacks, fruit etc. I miss the drunken fun games at Excalibur. It wasn’t a classy room like Wynn or Bellagio, but it wasn’t supposed to be. The poker rooms at the Luxor, Mirage, TI, and others have all gone. I understand that poker may not be the big earner for the casinos, but it is the only game some visitors play. And if you don’t offer a room with a reasonable rake and good facilities Mr Poker Player will not visit, and Mrs Slots will not be there either. For the purpose of gender neutrality you can reverse the Mr and Mrs if you wish. Is it possible that the arrival of Hard Rock on the strip will reverse the trend, and provide a new poker room of quality?

$2/$2 NLHE is damn near unbeatable with $6 rake + $2 promo/BBJ and the $1 dealer tip so most hands there is $7-$9 falling off of the table...people think the rake only applies to the hands that they win BUT if you stack a player who just won 3-4 hands BEFORE you stacked him then all that money is also gone from his stack before you stack him...the rake makes $2/$2 NL a scam

For me it's just not the same game that it was in 2007. Changes are inevitable and often necessary. Some things need to get put to bed or back-burnered at some point. Hey Tim, I have been watching your videos since you had 1500 subs, I originally found your videos on the 2+2 thread that you started, that was a long time ago now, maybe 7+ years. The early days at the desert manor is when watching your videos become a part of my daily life. Some of the vlog highlights for me were Operation Uptick, the WSOP main event, the crazy games at PH, and when you first quit your job to go full-time at this poker vlog thing. There are a few things I wanted to share with you from a viewer's perspective, firstly this was never really a poker vlog, this was a follow your dreams vlog. The story was never about some hand you played it was about you running your own race and living life on your terms, the real gamble, that takes balls, that so many of us don't have. If you zoom out and think about it "moving to Vegas and playing poker" is really just a metaphor for following your dreams so watching your videos gave the audience a window into that world. If this is the last video you ever post, all I can say from the bottom of my heart is thank you, thank you for the hundreds of hours of entertainment, and thank you for starting the RU-vid poker world in the first place. I wish you the very best of luck in this next chapter, cheering for you mate.

I just got back from a trip, pretty extensive actually since dec25-jan22. I played poker only two times, as I'm not much for live poker since it's so slow compared to what I'm used to online. So I played at Golden Nugget since I stayed downtown for half the trip and on the strip the other half. But the game at nugget was good, people were throwing their money around like crazy, I went from $100 to $800 cash out lol. But I did spot a few things like for one I know for a fact two of the players were colluding at the table, one of them folded their hand face up in a very large multipot and when the hand was over I called the person out on it and he just didn't really respond. The game felt more chippy than anything like people just genuinely did not like each other, and it didn't seem like anyone is having fun. I would have left if not for people just bombing away money every hand lol.

He moved to Vegas to start a candy company??? False. The reality is that he's just not good enough and he wasn't able to move up in stakes. Everything else is just him trying to justify his reality and spin it into something he can accept.

Taking nothing from the achievement…. Im thinking, adding the hours spent “working” on vlog, poker, merch etc.. you’re probably making $3/hr. Kinda like a traveling business man… soon as he leaves his house for 2 week business trip he’s on the clock 24 hours a day! So financially your endeavor isn’t making you rich but working for yourself is priceless!

Maaaaan those last 7 minutes or so were deep. Been here since 5/1/2021 and I've had these same thoughts etc. lately. They say it healthy Others say we sound aimless. I appreciate the vid and the comments about poker. I still have to start grinding poker tournaments. I still have that goal of winning one. I just need to hit $20k with poker/sportbetting and I'll quit my job.
