I love how powerful Fern is just using basic magic. She doesn't need some crazy complex spells to be formidable, she's good with just the basics. I'm going to start calling Miss Fundamental.
Don't you just hate it when an episode is building towards a fight and then just as it’s about to begin, the episode ends and we have to wait another week. Sam was making a fist, about to hurt someone, then she remembered they were still filming. 😂
Seeing y'alls reactions to this one really reinforces just how goated this show is. Also Dani had that grin ON when Ubel was on that demon timing XD. I wanna say i know it's not y'alls usual content to react to but I gotta at least try to recommend watching the Hood JJK video on RU-vid particularly the one about Shibuya it is SOO funny and so well done
Wirbel VS Ubel: "bad boy" who's secretly a softie VS "bad girl" who is actually 100% psycho I love how Wirbel just straight up called Ubel out with that "pervert who likes killing" line. Dude has zero interest in dealing with her crap and just wants to finish the test, which I can respect a lot more than the "I can fix her" reaction a lot of guys seem to have with characters like her.

So many cool new mages and spells! And we haven’t even seen what all of them can do, like Denken for example! He thinks he can beat Frieren? I guess we will see about that… Übel is really “Ybel”, due to the umlaut on the U. (It’s not exactly the same vowel sound, but take u and go more towards y vowel sound. It certainly doesn’t start with a consonant either way.)
Übel is a german word like all names in this show. It means nasty or bad. Ü is pronounced by making an U sound and then mixing in an i sound doing both halfway.
Bro why the hell are you guys not reacting to slime I thought u guys liked it but is it because it does not have continuous fighting like demon slayer,etc and actually cares about world building and plot
Übel sure isn't fazed much when fighting though she's chatty. Fern and Frieren are way more deadpan and I love it. I also enjoy that Fern underestimates herself because she is comparing herself to Frieren a lot before this exam. She trusts Frieren though and when she fights following her teachings, she does so well. I'm glad the other mages are noticing it

Fern is pretty exceptional, especially for her age. (Youngest 3rd grade mage…ever with top marks? or whatever they said when they got assigned parties)
