@OhPlease a In most villages I have been with a 100 inhabitants they either have no traffic lights or there is a major traffic route going trough that village. Yes there are a few exceptions, but they're not that crazy.

The problem is that most traffic lights are placed at extremely stupid places and also take too much time to go from red to green. Some streets have traffic lights every 100 meters and some streets have none for like 500.

Yeah or we just don’t care and are impatient sons of bitches.. i mean i know...if the light is red and there are 0 cars i will cross because there is no danger.. plus i doubt police will care here either as long as you are walking or biking.. they will probably warn you but not much else

Most dutch people don't seem to like germans, but I've always really liked you guys. And the great thing about Germans: They know how to build stuff to last, which I think is amazing. Here in the netherlands we build flimsy little things and then complain when they get vandalized. I've seen little lampposts in some minor park in Aachen that will probably still be stuck entirely intact to some spacerock once the earth gets eventually destroyed. Real german quality. Lots of love from The Hague.

@@melody4ever227 :p Nouja, de Nederlandse taal leent zich meer voor dat soort dingen, geloof ik. In het Engels heb je de 'y' of de 'ie' of de 'ey' als je iets wilt verkleinen, maar in het Nederlands is het 'tje/kje/pje/bje' en dat klinkt een stuk grappiger. Volgens mij heeft het iets met de taal te maken in ieder geval...Engelsen maken ook woordgrappen, maar de Nederlanders meer. Die zijn met poezie, gedichten, rijm, taal en kunst bezig en de Engelse comedy zit meer in de bewegingen of de manier waarop je het brengt. En de Amerikanen hebben het meer op herkenbare situaties :P
