Diggle Diaries: An attempt to film all daylight running freight and interesting workings from Diggle Junction. Situated on the picturesque Trans-Pennine, Manchester to Huddersfield and Leeds route, Diggle Jn lies at the top of a steep incline leading into Standedge Tunnel. Providing beautiful scenery, varied freight and trains working hard up the hill, there aren’t many better places for a bit of trainspotting.

Another great video. Shame the 68s have finished, I never got enough haulage from them. Nice to see proper trains in the shape of the 56s and the steam loco running too. Looking forward to part two!

Another superb video Luke, certainly did enjoy that! It's great to see such a variety of locos - now DB are getting rid of the 60's all we'll have round here will be wall to wall 66's...!! Did you have a time machine to take you to Eastleigh to get all that classic traction....?! 😀 Can't wait for those vids!! Keith

Fantastic video this one, I thought last video was good this is on a hole knew level. Excellent stuff keep it up and look forward to seeing the 24 hour special on Xmas Eve. Look forward to 2024.

Another cracking video Luke, it’s sad to see the 68’s go but great to see the 37’s and grids still doing their thing. One of the things I like best about your videos is the way you film the whole train - too many people only show the front part. BTW - was that last shot taken from a drone? - and if so could you please give some info. on it and it's camera - many thanks :)

Thanks mate, I often umm and arr about it as I think a lot of people are just interested in the locos, but like to get the whole train in there. The drone is a DJI mini 3 pro, shoots with a 4k camera, lovely bit of kit.

Nice video, is the the flask working to Leeds Midland Rd going for tyre turning as they used to do it at Doncaster Roberts Rd at One point.
