Pls pls pls we want more like this! It's way ahead of shark tank! No bakwas! Very to the point, very honest , Shantanu sir thank u very much for bringing up such insightful content
Comparing the two is not a good thing. These episodes are for seasoned founders not for general masses. Content on TV has to dumbed down for general audience.
@@kunalyadav1348 just wanted to say that in terms of reality, this comes very close, shark tank could be called the predecessor of sas bahu drama keeping in mind the circus they create for mass audience
Do you know that you have used 3x 'please' and 3x 'very'? If you're liking the 'no bakvas' and 'very to the point' then you should inculcate this in your writing too. No offence. Peace out ✌️
This is a great example of desk based due diligence for angel investors . The quality of questions the coverage and followups was just top marks all around
I think the entrepreneur was very humble and quiet in nature , it's not necessary for every founder to be super energise or faking his personality what I think he was genuinely in his natural state . This is possible he might not be able to sell his idea I agree with this thing but he was understanding plus good listener
For someone who claims to help entrepreneurs I wonder why this video was uploaded, surely if the roles were reversed he would be unhappy to have his company and his team being talked down to like this. Bombay Shaving Company in 2024 is still not profitable, and from the demenour and style of questioning Shantanu had while talking to this founder gave me the ''I am better than you'' feeling.
Great Analysis by Equity Seekers! I manage Procurement, Directs Category, both Packaging and Formulation Chemicals, Raw Materials for the South East Asia region. Great set of learnings for me through this episode. A person should know how to sell!
God finally right questions asked by shanthanu unlike season 1 which was more like coffee with Karan questions. It was like PG viva I liked the spontaneity and the insightful questions by shanthanu. Ashu madam always has stellar and poised question and great analyst.
Thanks @shantanu for airing this. Biggest learning I got from this is ‘how not to never present’. This is as important as learning how to present. Thanks again
Really you are doing great job. Shantanu...it is much better than shark tank coz you are showcasing us entire business model of pitches , their threats, complete holistic vire which does not happen in shark tank...
Watching panel discussing about everything adds 100x value for viewers for learning who are entering into learning fundamental of a business. Great work. You deserve more views, subs. Keep going. Special shout out to Shantanu 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Despite the lack of enthusiasm and pin-pointed details, I loved how Ashu, Toshan and Arjun handled it maturely and gave a positive direction to the COO I definitely want to thank you @shantanu for airing this episode, I am sure it must have been difficult decision to do so but it puts out a clear message that 1. Startups are built not by fluff but real life projections and growth plan 1. Being a founder is way more difficult and the path should be pursued just for the sexy title of "being a founder"
Great analysis and learnings from this episode but feeling very sad for the co founder because this will be viewed by lot of people. Maybe he was nervous or his personality, whatever it was, I just hope he is not negatively affected by this publicity. I hope he improves and hope people don't humiliate him in any way.
When the startup agreed to appear on this show, they accepted both the upside of getting popularity, raising funds and the downside of it not going so well. So don't feel bad for anyone.
This guy doesn't know the opportunity he's looking at.... China has leapfrogged the World in generic packaging SKUs that can then be personalized, so get mother machinery and you have an assembly line kinds of set up... Even Karol Bagh & Mumbai markets could be your Market, which is big enough to make you a unicorn by itself
Hope this channel becomes the no. 1 RU-vid channel for this genre of podcasting and content. We need more of genuine entrepreneurs like Shantanu. You guys are wonderful!
Absolutely amazing. Glad you put this out. You do feel for the COO giving him the benefit of doubt as you all mentioned in the video too. The way it was maturely handled by the barbershop team was a sign of what makes great leaders so great.
Gross margin is one aspect, but for a company/industry which has paper thin margin should be excellent at managing working capital and have an extremely high turn over with probably negative working capital where the customers are paying you in advance to get the product. For that, you need to have differentiating product or services and this business has none. Furthermore, packaging business is very cyclical and one quarter is enough to throw the company of this scale out of the business. This is my assessment and I can be wrong.
Shantanu, there's an issue with the volume consistently... See if you can work that out... High volume can be lowered on devices, not easy to enhance it the other way round!!
I'm sure the founder was nervous, pitching the investors itself is a little stressful and that too in front of the camera, makes them more nervous, and his co founder backed out at the last minute.
Hey team, I would appreciate it if y’all include the name of the startup in the main title or atleast clearly in the description. The only way I could see the actual name of the business apart from listening to the conversation was in a time stamp, which is not great if I’m trying to Google the business. Thanks. :)
Hello I thought the company guy was plain nervous. He brings his family manufacturing unit in Surat to the table. Expecting him to be a storyteller especially when he is substituting is a bit much. No need to be so over bearing!
Hey Fouder and CEO sitting in the meeting never compare biological 😷 process to engineering process🚀. Biology takes time and but Engineering process can be done as fast as possible if you have the right technology.
Thanks for being blunt and straightforward and putting all the things out as it is so that we people can learn so much and can also improve ourselves. Thanks once again for thinking of the founders who are watching this.

@Shantanu & Team, First of all thank you so much for standing up for the positive change in whole perspective of start up eco system. Regarding the video, I think, We have many avenues like shark tanks and pod casts having successful fund raise stories... In my opinion There is a gap in terms of having no to less such stories of failures... Kudos to the team who have decided to air the episode. As this kind of story brings more value in terms of what not to do rather than what to do... Thanks, Viral
Thanks to Shark Tank, everyone expects founder to dance and sing when they are pitching there products. I think the guy was well versed in what he was telling. Definitely the other guy Vivek must have been the presenter. Anyways!! But a great format for the Entrepreneurs to learn.
Great video on startup funding and the kind of questions & qualities Angel investors look for. A unique idea (USP) which will hopefully take this channel to a million subscribers.
Relieved to see the benefit of doubt given to the Cofounder and it being evaluated from a purely business perspective and not just from storytelling one (which we can easily get swayed by).
Watching 3rd time just to understand the question of this wonderful people , this must be paid version thanks everyone for doing this absolutely free of cost. ❤
Great learning from this video! this was my first watch on this format of video from Shantanu, just fantastic, true and no drama!! One view from me is that we have big businesses built without looking at numbers as much and analysis/strategic thinking like the McKinsey’s but agree that someone else is not going to put their money in. Early days for these guys imho and many of us like them - needing to get a lot better and learn the craft!!
@@AmrinderGillbbsbs if u need funding, u need trust of investors. they will trust u if u have confidence and all the answers. They are investing millions on you.
Some people have a very conscious personality... He seemed a bit stiff probably because he was nervous... I don't think we should attribute that to arrogance...
Got to reflect on multiple fronts after watching this particular episode, thanks a ton for all the effort you guys are doing to help business owners in the country. Cheers to the team!!
