The same can happen with a color like white, but since it seems to the majority of people a "normal" color for a house, no one really thinks about this. I actually like the way she is renovating her house, it's her own house and she is giving it her own taste. She can always change it whenever she wants.
I don’t really like pink for myself but whenever i see someone who wears all pink and decorates in all pink I can’t help but smile. Haven’t met a pink loving person who wasn’t a ray of sunshine yet
i’m a house cleaner and one of the clients i clean for is an elderly women who has lived in her house for 50 years. growing up she had brothers and then after she married, she had 3 sons 😂 she said “not one girl like i’d hoped” 😭 so she had been surrounded by boys for a long time. when her husband died in 2002, her sons were all living on their own by then so she had a whole house to herself. before too long the entire thing was different shades of pink. She also has birds that she plays music to on her ipad 😂 she’s a cute lady with great stories and a very pink house lol

As an interior designer with a collage degree in that subject. HELL YESS!!! Our homes are the reflection of ourselves! If you like white walls and white marble, that’s totally fine!! If you want your house rainbow with plants everywhere DO IT!! And if you want your house pink GO FOR IT! For the people saying “just wait for the day she doesn’t like pink anymore” that’s the fun of it, you can paint it another color. Guess what, my house is not pink, my mom painted the walls neutral colors and she still changed it 🤷🏻♀️
you cant repaint your house in two years when your cash flow dries uo and you cant sustain the lifestyle you have built, and nobody wants to buy your house because the childish interior design throws off every perspective buyer. but what do I know. I had a pink phase when I was 16. My mother referred to my room as The Pink Dungeon because I had very heavy, very pink curtains that blocked the sun well and made the room seem much pinker then it was. Also pink beads with pink feathers for a door.

As someone who used to not like pink due to everyone saying its a girls colour and I wanted to be cool and not like other girls, but then understood how its just a scam to shame anything which girls love and turn it into a cliche, now I LOVE PINk and i am grateful that my parents made me a light pink themed room, so seeing this is really cool, you go girl :)
Same. Pink isn't my most favorite colour right now but I still like certain shades of pink a lot. Pink is associated with being girly and then people assume that girly=weak so I used to hate pink.
My dad nearly had a heart attack when I chose the paint colors for my house. My fav color is red, but I also chose other colors that required multiple layers. He cussed the whole time. And when he wanted to do something different all I had to say was, “My house my rules, dad.” 😂 He hated hearing that.
@@iheartthearts It really, really did. I did some renovations too, so I would call him and say, “I just put a hammer thru the wall.” And he would freak out. I already had it measured, used a stud finder, and knew where the electrical was, but the sheer joy of seeing how fast he could make it to my house was priceless. 😁
honestly when I hear about this, I do think of resale value. But it's more important that you love the home you're in instead of thinking about the money down the road. And who knows a new homeowner might like pink too, or have the money to replace everything. You live in your home every day, make it feel like yours :)
Another person who likes pink would purchase it. Also, Paint and Wall paper can be changed out. Tiles can be painted over. When I sold my house, it was decorated very specific to my liking, but tastefully done. It sold above asking!
When I was a little girl, I used to dream about having a “pink house” and whenever I’d be at the shops with my mum, I’d point to pink household items and say “that’s going in my pink house!” As an adult, I’m not as huge on pink but it’s nice and wholesome to see someone live out their pink house dreams 💕
Although a lot of people are saying it might be too much pink I see a healthy balance. The pink is light and adds a lively shade to the house, but there isn’t too much all around that you get annoyed with it. You see in other videos there is still a broad range of simple colors. I think her house will turn out lively and express her well.

I literally just got done wrapping my fridge in pink glitter, my husband and sons (16 & 11) just walked in the house and they said "of course you did" and walked away. It's amazing and I have no regrets. Thinking of doing my stove too
I love how you don't overload the place with pink and just add good accents. Instead of the closet being pink entirely, just the shelves. Only the underside of the stairs being pink. A wallpaper accent wall with _more_ than pink to balance out the colors. Love it!!
Yup that’s what I had. And then yellowish green carpet throughout the house. Carpet in the bathroom. I despised all of it lol The kitchen had a teal countertop and I want to say the walls were pink at some point. The ugliest thing 😂
You’re living the dream! Life is too short to not live out your fantasies. All of that stuff is removable/changeable if you ever decide it no longer floats your boat. This makes me happy😊

If my daughter said that to me I’d be proud! Such individuality when the norm is to think only about “resell value” when it’s YOUR house! I never buy a home for the chance to sell it to someone else, if I intend to sell I remove my items and fix it up not an issue

It's probably because the Portuguese have specific standarts of what a kitchen should look like (as far as i know, which isn't that far, considering that i'm Brazilian, not Portuguese)
Im not trying to be rude and this is just my opinion but I think that you should change the brown bits of the staires pink instead of the white bit or keep the staires brown and white

Girl I understand you very well. My mom almost did the same thing to my mom when I said I wanted a pink modern house and she's like "WHAT" but yeah and I'm a big fan of the color pink as well so I understand you so well and I can relate to this!
My grandparents bathroom was entirely pink. Pink walls, pink floor, pink tub, pink toilet, pink curtains, pink counter, pink sink, pink light fixtures, pink faucet, pink door(just the bathroom side, the outside of the door was just the same brown as the rest of the doors in the house), pink tiles on the divider between the tub and the toilet, pink bath mat, pink towels, pink cabinets and drawers, all of it. The only things that weren’t pink in that bathroom were the mirror, the light bulbs, the toilet paper, and the window lol. When I was 7 or so I came home from school one day and saw that they had some people come in and remodel the bathroom to look like a much more traditional bathroom. I cried all that night. So now, when I have my own home my dream is the make the bathroom all pink like theirs was
My dad is in a similar place with me, but my mother-in-law is my friggin hype woman 😂 I showed her my progress on a mural (I don’t show unfinished work usually, I find not many people can visualize the finished product) and she YELLED at me how cool she thought it was 😂 love her
I’d personally do shades of blue and purple but I love that your having freedom in you own home. Those pink stairs would look sick if you shade them bottom dark to top light.

I remember when I was a kid, my room was full yellow and orange with giraffe pictures and flower tiles. That's how I wanted it back then A few years later I moved into a bigger room and my dad decorated it completely green for me. I absolutely love it. I had to change one wall and it's now white, but I hang up all my anime and kpop posters there and it looks absolutely cool

Careful with too much of one color in your bathroom if you do your makeup in there, especially pink unless you’re ready to compensate with really good lighting.
