yes, they are ridiculous now - they're just painted foam, there is no reason for them to be so highly priced considering how little it takes to make them.
I hate when a squishy is described “slow rising & soft” and then it’s literally a rock Also, I have a soft & slo cake and it’s SO DENSE! Then I went into a shop and found the exact one and it was so soft and slow rising.
Same my mom buy me the soft & slo cupcake and it is hard like a rock as you said and my best friend have the same one and it's so soft and slow rising.
Someday I’m gonna have a store of squishies and on the website you can say if u want a ball chain or not, and u could choose what smell u want and it would be a light delicate smell, and all the packaging would be so u could just open it from a zipper :) wouldn’t that be so cool?
Oooooh, that sounds cool, but I've got another idea, the ball chain and tag can be attached to the zip because zips have holes in them, would that work?
ok so is it just me or something is also thinking about this: -you cannot open the squishy package cuz you don’t want to destroy it. -you would keep the original one unopened. -you buy a new one just because you can open the package and squish the squishy. *and that is why squishy company is producing those kind of packaging* You get what i mean??, they gain more money.
as someone who works in a retail store that sells squishies, I can tell you that the packages are not resealable to prevent children from opening the packaging and playing with/mutilating it before buying (or even outright stealing it out of the packaging and leaving the empty bag on the display. We get that all the time with putty....) My biggest pet peeve lol e_e Also I didn't realise that keeping packaging was a thing but hey ho. (why do you want to keep the packaging btw? just curious o3o/ )
It's the visual aestics .... some people buy things just because it has beautiful packaging these are usually people who like to display things or collect visually stunning things I myself have been guilty of buying things and keeping the package just because it was beautiful or visually striking
But the packages can be easily teared open anyway, they could just make it so you have to rip a part of the plastic away and then have a ziplock. There wouldn't be much difference except you can now reseal it.
As a graphic designer, I don't understand the giant tags. If I can get an entire label's worth of instructions, ingredients and description on a TINY label for a 0.5 oz bottle in TWO LANGUAGES (not that this should ever be done, just that it's possible), you can put all the information you need for a squishy on a label that's a proportionate size... around 1/3 of the size of the squishy or smaller. A giant tag stands out in an uncomfortable way... you're right on the mark about that, Holly! The pin in larger squishies might be there for the "nostalgia" rather than the functionality. Or, like you mentioned, it might be there to give you an opportunity to display it another way like hanging them, in a shadowbox or on the wall, but you mentioned this. I agree that on the smaller squishies it gets in the way unless the squishy is very fat and/or dense and it takes away from the experience. I don't have a lot of squishies... but I have never disliked any squishy smells I've come across! My first one had that "bread" smell and I actually didn't like it at first... smelled more chemical, but as it aired out more I fell in love with it. I recently got another squishy with a bread smell and I can't keep my nose away from it. I have a lot more coming soon however, including Sheratan which I've heard does not have a pleasant smell (and it's coconut so I might not like it anyway!) and Billie the whale, which people have mixed opinions of, so I might not be able to say that for long. If you have a squishy that smells bad, have you considered leaving it to air out in a garage or someplace protected from the elements until the scent wears down? I mean, your garage may not smell great, but it probably smells better than what you are bothered by!
you don't see the donut pink then blue then light aqua, AND her hair pink, then blue, then her shirt light aqua ? You don't see the light tan spot on the donut shaped like the lettering on the shirt ?
What I hate about squishies are that they a literally a piece of really squishy material/sponge that are cute, and most of the time really expensive even at $2 shops. Like it’s not even $2 bro 😐 Anyone agree? ❤️😒
The second squishy from the packaging topic is actually a blind bag The first squishy for the ballchain topic is not for phones its for bags The yummy bear for the scent topic it might be because of it being kept in its packaging for a while so you need to airen it out
I HATE it when squishies have an air bubble in them and the paint starts to peel off! I pay like 15$ for a squishy and the paint just peels off the first time I squish it.
for the resealable packaging, you could cut it open, and get some velcro and glue it to either side and you can just velcro it back together. not sure if this works. just thought of it 😂
What I hate about squishies in my country is that they don't let you squish the squishy before buying it😑😒and so you don't even know if its slow rising or not
you are my favorite youtuber. my aunt died a few weeks ago and you remind me of her so if i miss her i just watch you because you have the same personality of her and she was so nice like you
OMG! I have so many squishies that have that packaging and tags that are huge and it literally gets in the way of squishing LIKE......im in love with squishies but it's like kinda annoying when there are stuff i don't like about it. Also Holly I love your channel!
I hate designs that are obvisoly going to get defected easily. For example, the IBLOOM cheesecake WONT get defected that easily. Kirby unicorn (sitting down) has so many indents that it gets defected after like one squish
I've never watched this channel of course I've heard of it but this video is sooo relatable and I love staring at the squishies in the background especially the Pat Pat sheeps
Hiya! I'm fairly new to squishies, and I was wondering which squishy is the best for squishing? For squishing a lot and not just every once in a while. Any suggestions would be good, thank you. ♡
Very true. Ibloom ,Chawa , Cutie creative and Bunnys cafe is 100% more better. Puni Maru sucks. I just dont know why people just buy a lot of squishies and so expensive. Who cares about cuteness??? Squishies are for stress not cute
I loveeee when squishies have a ball chain because I attach them on my purses for on-the-go stress relief lol. but obviously not if they are really huge 😝😝😝
I love squishies, but I hate it when the paint comes messed up!I also don't like it when on some squishy macaroons have a HARD rubber filling in the middle! I still love squishies but those are two of my biggest peeves......
This is so relatable you literally described everything that needs to be said about squishies. Also that they are getting super expensive like I don’t want to pay $15 for a small banana squishy and $40 for a jumbo banana like what?
I hate when I go into a store and there is only one type of squishy and on the packaging it says “super slow rising “ and it’s not I also hate when on a website it says the squishy is scented but it really just smells like a regular squishy
Hi Holly!! I love your squishy and pusheen reviews! I love squishies too but there's one thing in particular i loathe about some and it's the smell. So awhile back I snagged hello kitty squishies (waffle and doughnut with peal like sprinkles) cause I love super cute things and they looked so cute but they smelled soooooo bad and they were non-smelling squishies. They legit smelled like nail polish remover and I almost got sick at work when i opened them. I had to take them home since the smell was so bad and even squishing them made my hands smell. It took awhile for the smell to go away but it was so gross....
Coming from somebody who works in a little well known store called Justice, I understand the problem with the packaging, but the way it’s package actually helps us workers from having to worry a little less about people stealing the goods inside. Sure people can still open the bag, but it also kinda makes it harder for a little baby or toddler from opening it up in the store without actually buying it. Resealable packages is still an awesome idea, maybe we could switch to them in the future but for now, that’s just the way it is sadly.
I really hope I don’t get any hate from this, I totally agree with her completely from a buyers point of view, but from somebody who works for a company in charge of selling this stuff, I would have to disagree.
