$50 for upgraded WIFI for your ENTIRE cruise. Girl...pay that little $50 and move forward. Also, they do have drink packages, they are called "a bar tab". They want people to have the option to drink versus "making" everyone pay for alcohol who don't drink.
DITTO!. I have cruised on VV 9 times and booked for June 2025 sailing from Barcelona. I had absolutely no issues with my WiFi and their Bar Tab is waaaayyyy better than buying an expensive Drink Package on all other cruise lines. Plus you are not forced to pay for a Bar Tab for EVERYONE in the same cabin. I LOVE it!!!!

I work on a cruise and you should feel lucky to have free wifi. I pay $20 for 250 minutes and the guests pay about $200 for their wifi or .99 every minute. $50 for an upgraded wifi package on top of the free wifi is great. Also you’re going on a $3k cruise that lasts over a week

these sounds like complaints from someone who’s never cruised before. Wifi is usually a luxury that you pay for. FREE basic wifi is amazing at sea, bad or not. You can’t expect it to be great at sea.
Actually as a Virgin employee we do have drink packages for alcoholic and specialty drinks it’s called the Bar tab and the bar tab is $300 and you get an additional $100 on Virgin for purchasing the drink package. $400 total for alcoholic beverages

@@paynts7832 yea ive been on and worked on cruise ships, very familiar. Generally you pay a flat rate up front (per guest per day all adults in the same room must buy.) And the "unlimited" gets you 14 drinks from 6am to 6am. So it isnt unlimited, but if you're a heavy drinker it's a decent deal. Im not a big drinker, and would never order $50 worth of drinks daily, (about what the cost breakdown is) so it's a total ripoff for me.
You don't have to get shiftfaced just because you have a drinking package included 😅 as a matter of fact most of the people have it and still behave civilized.
Why not tell the truth....wifi was pretty decent and their app required wifi. 2. They didn't offer bar packages but bar tabs which is TBD same thing. 3. Music. .there was lots of music included no extra charges. Throughout the whole ship plus in your cabin they provided a tablet that had music, RU-vid you can go on and set your own music. So please tell the truth!!!

Especially on an all adult cruise where many people are solo travelers. I plan to go on one alone but I probably won’t drink much as a solo woman traveler in order to be completely aware of my surroundings.
The $300 ($50 free) bar tab is far superior to other cruises since you can share it with anyone onboard. You can use it for specialty coffee, smoothies, fresh pressed juice (other juices are free) in addition to alcohol. You must purchase this prior to sailing. Currently, they are giving a $600 bar tab to each cabin booked! Virgin Voyages just won almost every award presented to cruise lines this year. Have you actually been on a Virgin Voyage?

@@Lonerstoner21 there’s almost always reception at sea, for the crew and officers anyways. They might cut off reception for passengers if they’re in a limited reception area.
The thing I hated about Virgin was the cost, it was more than 4 times the cost of the budget lines and two times the cost of other premium lines like HAL and Princess. But the food was great and almost made up for it tbh...

Oh yeah and sodas juice and coffee was free as well as infused water all over the boat. Specialty foods were free like noodles, sushi, all day breakfast etc. video games all free. Movies on the boat free. It was a lot of free things. The drinks in the pizza place I never paid for (corona, wine, heneken) didn’t know you had to pay for them but they let me take as many as I wanted. Not saying it was perfect but they had a lot of free ish that youndef have to pay for on other cruises especially the WiFi at least $70 and up. Virgin it was $40

They also have drink packages-probably the most reasonable in the industry. $300, and they even top you off! My mom and I went I loaded the card with $150 we had $ left over and paid for the lobster dinner on the last day! You can use it anywhere everyone in your cabin does not have to get it and you can share! “Hey stranger, can I buy you a drink?” 😎
I just paid for my 5 night Virgin cruise in full during a promo window, and they comped me the $300 Bar Tab! 🥳🥳🥳 Since I'm traveling solo, I'm definitely gonna be asking, "Hey stranger, would you like a drink?" Lol
$50 for Wi-Fi is not bad at all. It’s usually $20 a day on other cruise ships like Royal Caribbean. As far as not offering a drink package I actually like that when people drink they get stupid and act dumb and it can ruin the trip for everybody, so that was a plus for me.

The wifi price is good imo. Also, the basic option is pretty much enough to text/wifi and send/upload pics. For the drinks... Lady, either pay up for your drinks (which are amazing and not watered down like on other "all inclusive alcohol packages" or go to carnival and get shitfaced with cheap rum
I traveled with a $600 drink credit. U choose the promtion when booking. Thus is the best ship ever! The food was outstanding, no surprise charges. Wifi worked great for me once on islands, i was able to use whatsapp and fb to text and facetime family ( for free). The club was so much fun and beautiful, the comforter was all that! I can't say enough about the valiant lady.. the DJ's were the bomb!
The wifi worked great for me and 50$ is cheap. My daughter did the 300$ bar tab and still had money after day 5. Just say the music wasn’t carnival cruise level 2. It’s music…..smh… people complain about anything.

They do have drink packages! They’re called bar tabs and you buy them before sailing. All non alcoholic drinks are free. Bar tab covers alcohol and speciality coffees

When me and my wife got on Scarlet Lady 3weeks ago for our 1st cruise it was pretty good. We had $600 on our bar tab which we split in half which was way better than having to pay for a drink package scam that other cruise lines have with that "per day" bs. And the music solely depends on what DJ's they have on the ship as well. We had DJ Q and DJ Gilla who in my opinion played a decent amount different genres of music at the party events.
Don’t understand all of the complaints… get your BarTab and get what you want to drink, get the better wifi and you have no problem just like any other ship… sounds like you should just stay with the other cruise lines… VV is awesome!
I've cruised with alcohol package and without and i've come to the conclusion that I end up spending about the same amount of money. For me to come ahead on the package.I have to drink so much that I feel like crap every morning which is not what i'm going for.
Virgin not having drink packages makes them unique. If you wanted a alcoholic beverage, you could’ve put money on your bar tab and ordered what you wanted. There’s no point (to me) in buying a $100 drink package for 4 nights then only end up drinking 5 maybe 6 drinks total. My fiancé and I learned the hard way and wasted money on a drink package that we literally only got 4 drinks out of during our first royal cruise.
Don't complain to me about the music on cruises. Been cruising 20+ times and have never heard any type of heavy metal. I have to pack my own tunes. I remember Carnival had a "ROCK SHOW" and the guy came out pre-show and played snippets of all the great riffs of the genre then the show started and played nothing of rock and roll of any kind. Bohemian Rapsody was about the heavies it got. SMH!
They don't have a drink package..But you can purchase a $300 Bar Tab from them. My husband and I don't drink that much...So we would have been wasting our money because you don't get any money back, if we don't drink $300 worth.
You have to pay for wifi and drinks on every cruise.... And wifi is never good in the middle of the ocean. Just an fyi for every cruise you go in. If you drink a lot, you can buy a alcohol drink package.

Totally incorrect information, however everyone is open to their own opinions, but hopefully people who see this video can see that it is incorrect after doing some checking. Free wifi is da bomb... so it doesn't work perfectly then pay the money to get the upgrade. Be thankful you get it free... geesh.....
Nah my wifi was perfect and bi didn't even need to upgrade my package! Lol I'm in Grad school so to attempt without being sure was risky enough! 😂 but it worked perfectly! 🤟🏾
