Wearing a jumpsuit to me is like wearing a baby onesie, I would need to wear a nappy cause there’s no way in hell I would ever get it off in time to make it to the toilet.😩
I don't like marshmallows on my sweet potatoes, but do love the crunchy topping of coconut, brown sugar, and pecans. I don't like jumpsuits at all. I see small children wearing them, also and think about why if it falls in the toilet while they are trying to take it off. jumpsuits have never made sense to me. When guest tell me they like something I have cooked, I usually say "I'm glad you are enjoying the meal". Love your videos!
I am from the States and candied yams are a holiday must. I don't do marshmallows, but I add coconut, brown sugar, and pecans to make a crunchy topping. It goes so well with roasted chicken, turkey or ham. It's the whole sweet and salty idea. I don't get the pineapple and pizza attraction, but it's the same concept, I think. Regarding the short hair.... I think some women are opposed, because it's the idea of having "mom" hair. Speaking for myself, I may wear my hair in a ponytail or messy bun, but those styles are considered more youthful. I believe that is a big factor for many.
On the hair, it's more the upkeep of a short hair cut, I've had one twice and it took more time to style and care for it, as well as constant cuts. My long hair down/pony/bun/braid is from pure laziness! ~ a mom of 4
My microblader did not use stencil, she measures everything and draws them up according to your particular shape and sizes she measures by. Mine ended up looking a lot like the ones you talking about. 🍠 with sugar is silly, its like take healthy food and turn it to terrible food. I agree with most of the things too, lol
I cut my hair into a pixie in high school and realised i have 3 crowns!!😳 my hair stuck up all over the place and was a nightmare to grow out. If i didnt have 3 crowns i would totally do a pixie again.
Candying yams was the only way they got me to try sweet potatoes (yes, actually different things), but once I was in I can't add much more than butter and spices. As for the eyebrow thing, I have NEVER realised that, I will be looking critically at everyone's eyebrows from now on.
You’re so much more natural in front of the camera than I am! And I’ve been going just as long as you 😂 I don’t get people who walk up the escalator (why not just walk up the still steps?)!
I sometimes walk on escalators because the steps are higher plus they're moving so it's much quicker than either walking up regular steps or standing still on an escalator :)
The way you feel about sweet potato and marshmallows... I just don't get carrot cake. Why do you want to add a vegetable to something that is not supposed to be healthy and good for you and that you want to eat for comfort food and not a meal?
Ha ha. I don't like marshmallows on sweet potatoes either. 🤣🤣🤣 microblading stenciling. Dying. Totally agree. 🤪🤪 just say Thank you! 💯💯💯 agreed on the jumpsuits. Oh my goodness. Yes yes on the hair. When my hair was long I always had it in a bun. Now it's a pixie. But my husband loves the long hair. But I can't figure it out.... because it was Always pulled back 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
LOL !!!! "Tradition!" My Mom fixed Candied Sweet Potatoes & so do I !! Plus, the marshmallow look so pretty all melted and browned. YUM !!! :) I agree aboout the jumpsuits. I had some when I was younger and more nimble but not now!
I agree with everything you said about the eyebrows, jumpsuits and candied yams. As far as the jello/marshmallow salads, they are served as desserts here in the U.S. ...lastly I say thank you when someone compliments my cooking.
There are many types of sweet potatoes. The kind we make into the candid ones are very good. I agree about jump suits you gave to disrobe every time you go to the restroom. And then get dressed again.
I am so with you on the jumpsuits. When they were fashionable back in the '80s, I wore one on a flight from Australia to England, thinking it would be comfortable. It was, until I needed to go to the loo. A tiny, tiny loo. Lots of gathering. Love your video.
With the eyebrow thing, I think it's the 'bad' ones that are noticeable (or the people that request that particular look). People who get microblading that suit their face, you'd think it's just natural and probably wouldn't notice it. I got mine done, and the tattooist was so focused on getting the right shape for me face. I haven't had botox done myself, but I'm a dentist who works with dentists that do it for patients, and you wouldn't know half the patients that have had it done. It's the patients that request those instagram filler lips that people will notice 😊 Haha I agree with the jumpsuits. Bodysuits are even more confusing. If you wear one under a skirt.....imagine how messy the process of going to the bathroom is 😂
LOL I love how „angry“ you got about the eyebrows! I have had the same thought, too, though. Totally agree with everything. Jumpsuits... saw a girl at the gynecologist and was wondering if she was considering while putting it on that she will have to be completely undressed for an exam. 😬
I don’t get the candied yams either!?!? Although American yams are very different to NZ yams. When someone compliments my baking or cakes I just say Thank You and leave it at that.
A Thousand Words Yes, I would call American yams what we call the orange sweet potato, and then we have Kumera which is the purple one. If you google yams then you will see that that the “candied yams” are actually sweet potato. A NZ yam is the small red thumb sized ones (Oca) originating from Sth America.
Hi. I love your channel. Me and my daughter have binged watched your channel during lockdown. I also think the same about jumpsuits and I also get confused all the time when a lot of people compliment my food. Though i love the compliments but don't know how to react other than saying thank you, thank you... We love your ideas. Love from India. 🙏👍👍
😂😂😂 Didn’t you ever make butternut with sugar, butter and cinnamon? The sweet potato is kinda like that, it’s a sweet side, but Americans take it to the extreme! And then also what I cannot eat is the sweet potato pie or the pumpkin pie...we just don’t get that. Yeah, I’m with you on the jumpsuit! Imagine if someone opens the door and you’re naked all the way...and what if it’s winter and you’re naked in the toilet and cold when you just wanna pee! 🥶 Nope! I just say thank you, and then cos I feel awkward, sometimes I just ignore the compliments, then sit and think, was I rude...but the moment has gone and the people have left 😂😂😂 I’m one of those people, I have a long jaw and I do not look good with a pixie, but a high pony looks good or bun 😝😝
No, I've never had butternut like that! I'm not opposed to the sweetness - I'll eat pumpkin pie - but serving marshmallows with the meal instead of with dessert is where I'm confused! Yes, you'd freeze in winter, plus you'd no doubt have a jacket or cardigan over your jumpsuit too! What a nightmare.
Your jumpsuit story caused me to wonder how QE2 manages? On a different topic I never hear anyone use the words "you're welcome". Listen to tv or radio interviews--When the hosts thanks someone the guest always say "thanks for having me". Very weird. Finally do people especially young salespeople say "No problem" in New Zealand? Thank you for sharing. Could you show your gardens especially when the poppies are blooming?
Yes people say 'no problem' here, or 'no worries', or 'all good'. Will definitely do a garden tour in a little while, just waiting for a few things to open up - no buds on the poppies yet.
💜💜💜tfs💜💜💜 no way I'd get undressed in a public restroom to pee... maybe they just don't pee out.. like I know people who will physically go back home to use their bathroom because they won't pee or the other in a public restroom!
Always enjoy these! 😁 With people complimenting your food, I usually just say thank you 😊 But I do get what you mean though 😅 I am totally with you on the jump suits! 🤣 The exact same thing goes through my head when I see people wearing it! How on earth do you pee? 😅😅 They do look super cute, but just the thought of the effort.. Nee dankie! 🙈😂
