@F E right me neither every single rpg element game gets compared to dark souls like there was no such thing before I freaking hate it. Ya I like souls but still can't stand that shit
Here are my 7 tips: 1- focus on getting light armor... to regen ki faster (aka Stamina)which is way more important than def... more armor means you can survive maybe 1 more hit.. the point is not to get hit at all. Also you don't want to be stuck with heavy equipement in the Dark Realm During mobs/boss. 2- The spear is your go to weapon.. It gets its damage and health from Constitution which means your Health and Damage level up together. Its the only weapon which really benefits from this stat .. others don't. It means you can have a lot of life and deal insane damage. Use the combos which allow to stay at a safe distance.. with light armor you can hit and evade back. 3-When you attack enemies, keep watching at their posture life bar and attack it even if they block to drain their "Stagger bar" and use your last stamina to fall back.. it will help you be aggresive and give them lethal blows during combat..A lethal blow takes a huge chuck of their lives. 4- If you are going to go weapon build... the best omnyo/ninjutsu I have found are rejuvenation talisma(regens health)/ the elemental weapon buffers (fire/lightning/water etc..) and power pill which raises damage by 15%.. the rest pretty much sucks... poison/paralysis and underpowered.. it takes forever to get an enemy poisoned or paralyzed. The bomb and shurikens don't do squat even during endgame.. 5- Stats cap at 10-20 and 20-100.. so don't bother putting more points in things like stamina(equi weight) and courage than you need to.. 6-During the Dark Realm Phase of a boss, you can just wait it out by circling around the boss.. it works with most bosses. 7- Alot of bosses can be beaten by jumping in, hitting once and evading back.. bosses have really large life bars.. tanking doesn't really work in nioh2...after their RED lethal attack, you can deal double damage by hitting their back.. so really jump in, evade back.. rince and repeat until they do their lethal attack, and then deal double "Back" damage.. during the dark realm phase, just wait it out by circling around and dodging missiles.
I'm almost 50 hours in and I'm still on the first mission in the second area. Fucking game ramps up like crazy and stays there. Nioh 2 is probably the single hardest game I've ever played, rivaled maybe by Path of Exile.
50 hours in the first mission? dont you think by that point you wouldve thought to yourself that you are doing something SERIOUSLY wrong and need to look up a guide of some kind?
Very dim eyes = blue, dimmer eyes = yellow, glowing eyes = red. If you mess up, it moves one over, so blue will look as though yellow and red will be smoulderingly bright. Almost none of the walls have bodies, so this works best.
I've been streaming it on twitch, got to the first 'online' mission (odachi/onmyo dude) and struggled for hours on him and eventually a viewer realised I didnt have any buffs on my active skills... I'm now playing through the DLC for the first time and I think it's about time I learnt how to get good. So here I am.
This puts all other ''tips and tricks'' videos to shame. A lot of useful info here and some things that made me feel like a moron for not figuring out myself. I have a tip of my own actually. Because books of reincarnation are so expensive after than 2nd one you get if you want a 3rd or more go to the hidden tea house and you can exchange the points you get from killing the revenants for books of reincarnation and you can also get other things this way that are helpful.
It’s R2 with circle , Not R1. And no, it won’t work in Nioh 1. If you pressed R2 circle in Nioh 1, it would probably just swap your tool tabs. If you pressed R1 circle, it would just sheathe your weapon.
Anyone wanna play this with me. I enjoy playing this with ppl and I'm kinda anxious to get further in the game. I figured it'll be easier to find ppl to join, but surprising enough it takes a while for someone to join.
5:16 no, you don't need to whistle right in front of the chest, doing it beside, behind, or anywhere near the chest will still do. Funny to heard you said "right in front" minutes later after you said "played for almost 100 hours" at the intro. It would be weird if you don't know that.
One thing I wish I had figured out during my playthroughs is that you can buy kappa shells from the tea man These are then used to craft daion-jin’s sakes, which remove and nullify all elemental debuffs for a good chunk of time. You can severely neuter several bosses using this item, including some of the ones I found most difficult like Kasha and Shibata Katsuie
Temper is fucking cheap, you need the materials though, only Soul Match is expensive. The other currency is Glory, which is more valuable in Hidden Teahouse
Me: "I'm finally done beautifying my waifu character, cosmetics, makeup and all. She looks gorgeous." Also me: (Immediately gave her a fox mask) Still me: (forgot that you can disable headgear on the menu) 😑
1. Get Running Water: Earth ASAP on the samurai skill tree, this makes it so a perfect dodge automatically does a ki pulse, keeping the action flowing and dispelling the Yokai realm. 2. Some games only let you equip an item to a short cut once, this isn't one of those, if you're finding yourself on the wrong tab when you need to heal...simply equip Elixir to all shortcut tabs.
@@KeironP1 I know that, but I still don't think it's worth taking up an extra slot. I really think they should give us a 4 shortcut sections because there are way too many skills and items in this game for there to be only 2
Now I feel bad for killing the walls and fake chests knowing that I could’ve just spared them with gestures… Cheers for the tips, they were really usefull!
I played so much of this game and never realized that looking at the graves near the illusionary walls would be a great way to narrow down which gestures to use. The more you know.
I put 500 hours into Nioh 1 I'm so excited to staert playing this! Hoping to find some new info out to prepaire me lol I did a 3 sword ninjutsu kunai build that was so op by WotN I was 1 shotting almost everything with storm kunai at A+
If you want to use Yokai shift (become a demon) but its not charged enough yet, you can eat amrita stones to charge it. Charged amount depends on size of stone and your stats. You can even charge Entire Yokai shift at start of each mission, if you have enough stones. This is a tidbit surprising amount of people doesnt know about.
3:58 Another note when using whetstones that you missed, be sure to equip both main-secondary of melee and ranged weapons that still haven't maxed the familiarity yet since the item does increase the familiarity of all equipped weapons, so if you use it when one of your weapon is already maxed, it is a bit of a waste.
Thank you for this video. I played N1 and am playing N2, and you informed me about things I was not aware of, in a clear and concise manner that not only helped me understand these mechanics, but provided me with tips on how to improve my gameplay in general.
This video should be called "the shit you realize after playing the game for 100 hours the first week just play if you don't believe me" lmfaooooooooooooo
Cory Trapkins dude I agree, I just wish I had more time. I’m 9 hours in and am obsessed with it. So much so, that I play it more in my mind than on console.
Can’t believe I got every skill on samurai tree, a few on yokai. Just completed main game and dlc, every mission. And not once did I set active skills. Could of changed so much for me, I feel like the game needed to spell that one out a bit better, had no idea they weren’t already active.
What money is a huuuge issue in this game. I’m constantly broke from upgrading gear often having to wait until I do more missions to sell more gear to further upgrade.
I can be called a veteran player of Nioh and even if I know all these tips I just end up watching these videos. Even when I’m not playing this game I’m watching videos about. I’m addicted.
Yeah, it gets easier, but idk about "much" easier. That really doesn't happen until you get your build really started, and either you've played the first game, or you put many hours of practice into the flow of combat. It definitely does get easier though, don't give up... this game is AMAZING!
I just started playing this game. Hopefully there are still veteran players playing that can help me kill the bosses otherwise i'll be SOL. The bosses in this game are ridiculous. The snake ladies and the raven things have killed me more times than the bosses...
I been playing so much and I didn’t even know about the auto hair use option. I mean I check options first thing before I play every game but I didn’t know that’s what it meant.
thx for tips still cont kill mini boss nr 2 XD peker pin me down and take 100% hp on me haha and am over leveld so its mest up xD duel sword+ 1 hand sword i use duel as main
I just got the game, its just amazing, combat super great, each weapon really shines, cant decide which weapon to choose, dual sword quick and tense, tonfa so satisfying feel powerful, switch blade great reach and awesome speed, odachi feel safe & reliable, maybe take some times to master them all
i play Nioh 2 on pc and i love but i dont think its a good idear to use the locks instant i keept some i case i needed them and for me it was a good way, most i use when i got them but i keept some of each omyo, nijutsu, samurai around 5 skill points for each category in case i need them. And you get so many of them its easy to keep 4-5 for each category. Otherwise go to options and you can select more then 2 quicktime sets so that yo ucan carry more bufs etcs without i recommend 4
You can respec skill catagorys on the dojo screen for a negligible amount of gold. No need to hold onto them. Also you can just use them a8save the skill point itself....
