Your advice about building by another biome is great info. I accidentally build my second house next to the Dark Forest. What a great mistake I made. I did mark berries when I found them then proceeded to remove the markers when I found out they were not very helpful. I then built a caldron and discovered my mistake. Oh well at least the berries are plentiful. Thanks for your video it was enjoyable and helpful.

Thanks for the kind words. I guess your second house was a happy accident.

Another tip I’d throw in is practice Parrying attacks with shields. So many enemies become an absolute joke once you know how to parry their attacks
@Valleygaming

Being able to stagger enemies is quite important indeed. I kept it out of this list, because I actually want to do an in-depth video about it. Thanks for sharing!
@tungstwn1241

True that! You can even parry deathsquitos with upgraded bronze equipment and relatively low skill levels.

I didn't realize that this video was just made recently. I find it unlucky since I only bought and discovered this game just recently a few months back. And these tips were legitimately effective and clear. U just earned a genuine like and a sub my man.

what I wish I knew from the beginning was to keep a travel portal at your base, and always keep portal materials everywhere you go so you can always go back to base. and always set that return portal before you go into a dangerous situation

The only reason i thought of using portals for transporting material quickly was bronze nails .__.

My advice would be to make your first playthrough vanilla to get the full experience, then after that try out some mods :)

I play solo most of the time because I enjoy taking my time. I guess these days everyone has the speed run mentality about everything.

I wouldn't say that's necessarily the case, however Valheim has quite a linear progression throughout the game and it becomes especially noticeable when you play through it once or twice. It's a pretty short game if you want. At the end of the day, it's mainly about the goals you set yourself. Valheim thrives as a sandbox game. Ultimately, it comes down to the motivations that players have. Valheim is one of the few games that manages to approach multiple playstyles perfectly, so in the case of multiplayer it's important to agree on the pace of the game.

I need help! Anyone who knows how. I'm early on, just found swamp, haven't even gone in one yet... Well I accidentally stumbled across plains and the moment I did I was taken out by a deathsquito. I need the stuff in that loot, and I've died maybe 20 times going back. I don't have silver yet, but tried my hand at partying ith a bronze shield, blocking with a tower and bone. Nothing works. 2 shits and it kills me, and there's like 2 or 3 camping by my now 3 loots. I can sometimes get back and get 1 or 2 loots before trying for the ones closer and in the plains, but then always ultimately die. Have troll armor on, I'm super sneaky! Lol but I'm like over 100 days since initial kill and I don't know what to do anymore. Learned my lesson to not bring important stuff with me... Too little too late. Help. Please!!!
@Valleygaming
@Valleygaming 2 года назад
Ah, that's a nasty situation. It's also hard to say exactly what to do if I don't know the exact situation, but here's what I would do. It's smart to have a spawn close by anyway. Don't go into the plains at night. Make sure to use the very best food you can have and use a bow to shoot the deathsquitos from a distance. Try to avoid using other weapons as much as possible, but if you really have no choice, use a knife. It makes the least noise. But hey, if your bodies are too far inland, it's going to be a tough task. It's a learning curve, so don't give up. If there really is no other option, you can still decide to farm similar gear together and pick up your stuff in/after the Silver Age. Yes, it will take a little longer, but taking risks and dying several times is no fun either. Take it easy and change your tactics. Last but not least, there's this group called the Body Recovery Squad. You should be able to find them through Google. Basically they'll come into your world to help you get your stuff back. Then it is more in line with the game and it is not by definition cheating. Think of it as a great adventure. Good luck!

@KekusMagnus Год назад
Build a spawn nearby, get a club and a wooden shield (or better gear if you can), make sure you have eaten three health-foods (so early game that would be like cooked boar, cooked deer and cooked neck) then charge in, block the deathsquito attack (don't try parrying) and kill them before they fly away. Slowly approach them and make sure you take them on one-by-one with full health. If the food you ate doesn't give enough potential health you will get staggered and it will not work, so you absolutely need high-health foods. good luck!
