I find it fascinating when the Bible refers to something that turns out to be scientifically sound. If you're looking for proof that there's some power greater than human, you have to look for things that are not explainable phenomena but are for real not magic and trickery of some sort but real things nobody can explain, such as identical twins, they know what happens when a fertilized egg is divided and that becomes identical twins, what they can't explain is how it's possible for that to happen in the first place and that is an example of something outside the realm of human understanding. It's a miracle because it shouldn't be possible that something that's only designed to have a single human being, can actually have two human beings with four arms and four legs and two hearts and four lungs and two heads when most of the time the physics only allow for one image not a duplicate.

I was convinced God existed when doing my A-level Chemistry homework. It was the peculiar behaviour of water due to hydrogen bonding that encouraged and protected life. I firmly believe in the natural world being explained through science, but that God speaks to the human mind and helps us see the beauty and wonder in the natural world, and gives us a moral framework in which to work. Many of my friends in the Christian Union at school were science students and teachers. This video just helps :). Thank you for this!

Don’t forget 1 Timothy 1:9 “He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.” 2 Timothy 1:9 CSB “before time began” means that the Bible is saying that time did indeed have a beginning. From what I understand, in the 20th century secular scientists began to support the idea that time had a beginning, thus proving the Bible in that respect.

Good stuff. As a kid, I never questioned my Catholic beliefs but I did think that the priests and nuns just maybe didn't look at things in the right way. How did Cain get a wife? Who were the people of Nod? Dinosaurs? What the heck? As I got older, I learned about allegory and history. Reading St. Thomas Aquinas proof of God's existence through the Law of Motion taught me to look at the entirety of human history to understand God.
Don't forget about perspective. Lots to consider there. Witnesses seeing things they have no explanation for, and trying to describe them, can produce error. Example is the flood. Did it, as described in the Bible, cover the entire earth, or cover just the earth the observer could see? Pretty sure an ark, a ship with no power, could not travel the entire world in 40 days.
Okay, so they drifted the entire world in an unpowered barge in one year and 40 days. I don't think so. When it comes to understanding the Bible, we need to at least try and see things from the *perspective* of the viewer/ writer and their understanding of the world at the time. Imagine coming from that era, and seeing a car. How might they describe it? Now take five different people from that time period and show them a car. How would those descriptions match or differ. The different descriptions would not disprove what they saw, they might however give widely differing descriptions depending on what they saw the car could do, sound like, etc. Not unlike the 4 gospels. Do they match, or do they give four slightly different *perspectives* of Jesus Christ? @@HilaryB.

What evidence exactly. Because if God were real he'd make life survive on planets that can't sustain our life. But conveniently he "made" just one world out of billions that can sustain life and "make" life. I'd believe in god once I see life on planets that are made of nothing but rock and nitrogen with almost no magnetic field and the creatures eat dirt and lick rocks for nutrition and rub legs together to procreate. Because if it defies science then it must be from a god. But so far nothing has actually defied science.
I don't know about that. It seems to me that there is more evidence for us not understanding the nature of reality than us actually understanding it. That's the whole reason the great mysteries have been attributed to "God" or the supernatural. The issue is, everything is natural. Supernatural can not exist. Even if there were a universe creating "God" it would still exist within and be a part of nature. The "problem of evil" logically discredits the type of God in which most refer. It doesn't, however, discredit the existence of a creator God or a pantheon of gods. It's possible that a demiurge exists or many different types of devas. But, the omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, and omnibenevolent, God surely can't exist. If it did, it would be equal to reality, but with consciousness. While reality definelty does exist, as a whole, it isn't conscious. Unless we consider consciousness as simply, motion. In which case, I would agree that "God" is real. The possibility of "God" being real, in the sense stated above, in no way can justify the manipulation, slave mentality, and occasional, unnecessary violence that most religions condone. In fact, it doesn't even justify the type of faith and worship that theistic religions portray. It would literally be the opposite. This type of understanding of God would require unity and appreciation of "the all". But what we get is "us and them", disharmony, and aggression. While all of the things are still part of "the all", our ability to perceive it as such would raise our awareness to a level that far surpasses our current abilities, as a whole.
There are flood stories from a number of cultures all over the world. If it wasn't the whole planet, it must have covered a large part of the planet, or maybe it happened at different times in different parts of the world.
I was reading genesis recently and indeed it could have only been a small part of the planet, geographically speaking man had not yet spread all over the earth by that time,,,,and the population has per how the book of genesis shows the expansion of the lineage of adam shows human ,population was not that much large at that time, i had thought of this before watching this video judged on the reasoning i have provided above,,,,turns out its even scientifically proven ,,,,

So, it didn't have to be literal.
Yeah it says that Aristotle was the earliest to propose that the earth was round in 500 B.C. but the book of Isaiah claimed it was circular around 700 B.C.
Since civilization has began in ancient Mesopotamia the earth has been proposed to be round, its been around since forever, you can look at the moon and see the curve =). It wasnt discovered "proven" to be round until greece. Plato and his student Aristotle further supported the idea of a spherical Earth.

science is just our understanding of the how and not the why science can be used to either understand god or turn away from him and we know that a certain serpent likes to feed on our weakness to build his own kingdom and imitate god through our knowledge.
Yet, in Genesis, it explicitly states that God created the serpent. How did te serpent get conflated with Satan if it is stated that the serpent was the craftiest creature that God has made? Why would God create such a creature?

"He stretcheth out the north over the empty space, And hangeth the earth over nothing" (Job 26:7) These FACTS, which no human knew of at this time, was REVEALED by Almighty God, to these Writers in the Older Testament! MANY CENTURIES LATER, "science" COPIED what the Bible, the Infallible, Inspired Word of God, had already Taught!
Bullshit. You'd better talk to your other compadres in the faith. There's an entire Christian movement (albeit small) that claims the earth is flat and that the Bible is a flat earth book. Yeah, there really was a Flood that killed everybody but Noah, his wife, their sons and their sons' wife. BECAUSE BOOK SAY SO. BOOK SPECIAL. Dude, the flood myth in Genesis came from the Babylonian Epic of Gilgamesh which predates the Old Testament. History, Archeology and Anthropology show that the during the Genesis Flood's approximate 2348 BC timeline, the Chinese, Egyptian and Sumerians under Sargon of Akkad were too busy having civilizations to be wiped out. The Chinese did so well at not being wiped out by Noah's Flood. There's this place called CHINA and it's chock fulla Chinese people. Noah's three sons didn't have enough genetic diversity to repopulate the earth with just their three wives. 3 Generations after Noah, humanity would be a bunch of sterile retarded conjoined freaks like something out of a Victorian side-show.
Is that what people here are 'angry' about? You sure about that? I think most people here are frustrated, and yes, maybe a little angry, at the gross misrepresentation of science on display
At 7:39, you mentioned that the Great Flood probably didn't engulf the whole earth; however, you failed to realize that the Bible (in Genesis 10:25) spoke of the earth splitting in the days of Peleg (whose name means to divide or separate). The plausibility of the flood covering all of the earth becomes more evident when you recognize that there may have been olne land mass which geologists call Pangea which split into different contents in Genesis after the flood. Genesis 10:25 has been thought to be a reference to people being divided although it was referring to the earth's landmass instead of people. The reference to people being divided is in Genesis 11: 8.
Mark 13:24 But in those days, following that distress, “'the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken. ' “At that time people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. "The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light" God knows the relationship between the Sun and the moon which is amazing and ancient people before were probably confused.

Things needing to vibrate to exist next the mention of this in Hinduism. The Cosmic Egg/waters of multiple religions compared to Solar System forming disks. The "6 days of creation" compiling billions of years of cosmic/Earth development, that looks like 6 days to God/in a vision (Psalms mentions God sees, eons within a day's time, "a thousand years" was used in ancient Aramaic to refer to indefinite multitude, kinda like a slang, look it up for yourself, plus, it's written like as vision, you're *supposed* to notice time flow ain't exact 😆). What stands out to me the most is the Andromeda Galaxy/Milky Way Collision/Merging compared to the Kingdom of Heaven approaching/the heavens being rolled up like a scroll/new heaven taking the old heaven's place. "With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day." 2 Peter 3:8. The argument about billions of years passing like a day to the Lord is not really a valid argument, as the previous verse states that 1 day passes like 1000 years *to the Lord*. This verse only tells us that time is meaningless to God, and is not an excuse to fit billions of years into the Bible. This is just an inaccurate argument that I see people using often, so I just wanted to point that out, have a great day (or 1000) :)

The star fact is truly baffling. The ancient world was obsessed with the sky and it’s astronomical bodies, and kept detailed accounts and numbers about every single element of the night sky. A number and location was even calculated for every star, which was about 5000, from Ancient Greek estimates pov. So to have called the stars countless is inconceivable.
@@byteme9718 you haven’t provided I logical response. It’s easy to say gullible etc. We are NOT dealing with modern day people who have no use in “counting stars” as everything is handed to them. Moreover, Yes, the laymen might confuse the manner I which he is to arrive at a clear conclusion, yet, even he would be able to ascertain, if he takes up the task of properly monitoring them, their very “countable” aspect. We are dealing with people, highly obsessed with the exact patterns of the heavens for a variety of reasons. Long ago has every visible star been categorized. Thus, to postulate a number that would lucidly be labeled “countless”, and a closer estimate to the “sand upon the shores”, as it says, I will make the descendants of David my servant and the Levites who minister before me as countless as the stars in the sky and as measureless as the sand on the seashore.’” (Jeremiah 33:22) Notice the very clear comparison of the stars and sand. Perforce, we are dealing with a number that is truly innumerable. Thus, it’s quite revolutionary, and goes against any accepted norm.
@@byteme9718 Theists have no concept of logic ?! Such a pathetic claim. Isaac Newton would crush your disingenuous brain. Before we begin, it’s noteworthy to establish that you haven’t really touched upon the actual argument. You have selected certain tangential points, and criticized their accuracy, yet, none of these points directly deal with the issue: A. It’s a fact that ancient people counted no more than around 5000, as these are indeed, even today, the amount visible to the naked eye. Thus, we even know this to to be true today. Are you arguing this fact ? Have you counted more ? Or less? How much more? Whichever way, these numbers can hardly be described as “countless”. B. Claiming that the number of stars is similar to the grains of sand utterly dwarfs 5000, as in one handful you can already count 10000! C. Thus, taking these two simple facts would most definitely create wonder considering the vast difference between 5000, and a number that’s closer to seven quintillion, five hundred quadrillion. Your hanging on to the other inconsequential points is superfluous and disingenuous. 1. Humans have never been more involved in counting stars??? Fallacy only according to you. What a silly comment. And your proof is? The only “people” counting star estimates are highly advanced computers. Most people can have access to to telescopes, etc. However, no one is counting stars! People today know what type of a fruitless endeavor that would be, let alone that normal telescopes certainly wouldn’t help ! On the other hand, eyes can certainly count the visible stars and make a proper list. Compound this with the fact that they strongly believed in astrology and how these stars would influence them, thus, this amalgamation makes “involvement” a lot more pertinent. 2. Prove what ?? Prove that if a person takes a few years to monitor the stars he will see that this approximate number, granted that some would reach slightly different conclusions, is not any where near our current estimates ?? Moreover, these slight discrepancies can hardly be qualified as rendering the matter “uncountable”. Furthermore, again, you are assuming that countless means, “too confusing to count”, who told you ?? The verse contradicts your suggestion, as it speaks of “grains of sand”, a great multiplicity that’s uncountable, and not merely “a few thousand that’s difficult to count, and/or categorize. That’s pretty clear. The example used should have expressed, or more clearly expressed, a chaotic, yet very countable amount. Moreover, just because you don’t think it’s possible, doesn’t really matter, at all. It’s a matter of fact that ancient map catalogs were written ! And they were quite accurate according to the naked eye. Hipparchus’ star catalog is astounding. Not to forget the Babylonians, the Sumerians etc. 3. Who was obsessed? What difference does it make if this art and catalog wasn’t contingent upon the vast of people, again, this is irrelevant. I never meant by saying “the ancients” to refer to the majority of people in world history. There are sufficient ancient star maps to see what was the accepted norm in their societies. And there are many… 4. Provide proof? That was the very number provided. Do your research. The approximate number of 5000 is the number we both come up with today, and in the past. 5. The KJV ?? Buddy, i don’t need english translations, I read and comprehend ancient Hebrew and Aramaic fluently. No politics here. If you want a lesson in some of the ancient etymological words involved, I would gladly comply. 6. No comparison ? Utter nonsense. The verse speaks of vast numbers, uncountable numbers, and mentions the stars and grains of sand in that very same breath, yet, you want to claim it was mentioned inconsequentially. Pretty illogical. 7. I’ve studied Islam. It buried itself before it even began. It copies and pastes more than 50% off Rabbinic Judaism, no, not the Bible, the Talmud and Midrashic compilations, and claims such statements as having been uttered by Mohamed. Yet, anyone with a modicum of knowledge in ancient Rabbinic texts, will see that all of his statements were merely homiletical interpretations provided by Rabbis living 200 to 400 years before Mohamed. Some pretty serious plagiarism. 8. Those who believe ? Can you stop with all the pessimism ?
@@byteme9718 1. Newton would have been imprisoned ??? How utterly disingenuous, and exactly my point ! A. That’s just a complete lie! People were not being “imprisoned” for contradicting religious belief in Newton’s days ! In fact, Newton himself actually rejected Trinitarianism, and was more inclined towards Arianism, and the like. You have any instances or proof for your contention ? B. Moreover, and more importantly, Newton himself was obsessed with “the work of God”. He spent a great deal of time trying to discover hidden messages within the Bible. After 1690, Newton wrote a number of religious tracts dealing with the literal interpretation of the Bible. In a manuscript Newton wrote in 1704, he describes his attempts to extract scientific information from the Bible. He wrote at length about what he considered “sacred geometry”; in one manuscript titled "Notes on the Temple," he goes into length about observations on what he believed to be the sacred architecture and geometry incorporated in the structure of the Temple of Solomon, as well as customs that were practiced during religious rituals. A truly preposterous claim. 2. Prove that the number of stars stands at approximately 5000? Do your research. Look into old star catalogs. These are not hidden or mysterious things. There are many ancient star catalogs. Moreover, once again, and more importantly, the exact number is tangential. Even a rough estimate would suffice to prove the point. For whatever estimate is attained is drastically different when comparing it to grains of sand. 3. That the approximate amount stands at 5000 is hardly something controversial. (albeit that these calculations are based on the regions spanning from Greece to modern day Iran). The point is that the stars which were available to be seen from the hemisphere where they stood, were properly categorised and mapped. You are arbitrarily holding on to these impertinent points. With claims of ancient people not even being able to count?! Yet, with some very cursory research your vapid and fabricated claims disappear. Funny how you claim theists make claims based on no evidence, you seem to be very good at it! Again, there are numerous star catalogs, such as Hipparchus’, that make the approximate number very clear. Do your research. Once again, your contention is ridiculous, even if we were to suggest that there could be a difference of a few stars in counting can hardly render the matter as “countless”. Some were more precise, others not. Considering this “countless” is dishonest. 4. Again, you aren’t dealing with the main argument and instead are arguing that I have taken “mind altering substances”. 5. Computers are obviously NOT autonomous. That’s not the point, again, the point is that very few are actually involved in actually counting the exact amount of stars, and making use of the data to provide correct estimates. 6. Discovering comets is what you define as counting stars ?? Again, totally irrelevant, Can this comment get anymore ridiculous ? 7. Having access to advanced equipment, again, is impertinent. You are speaking as if scientist and layman are sitting and counting stars all day because they generally have “better equipment today”. The data and tools necessary to “count the stars” is very specific, and not some general access to better technology. The vast majority of people, asides for scientist who have this data and the necessary computing power to extrapolate, are certainly NOT involved in making estimates in the range of 10 to the 25th power. 8 . The historical figures that appear in ancient catalogs does not contradict what is currently assessed to stand at around 5000. And, again, that’s not the point. All of these points are superfluous. Let’s make this clear: The verse speaks of a great multiplicity that’s uncountable, “grains of sand”. It does NOT speak of a “countable number” that is merely difficult to calculate. That would have been expressed as “leaves of a tree”, and the like. Whether, it’s difficult or not to count the amount of stars visible to the naked eye is not relevant. For even if this number is, (and this only according to your estimation, for ancient map catalogs contradict you), difficult to by, it would still create a great discrepancy between an amount that’s merely difficult to count on account of being chaotic, as opposed to a number that’s closer to quadrillions. Let’s even say we are dealing with a number anywhere between 4 to 6 thousand. Because according to you it’s too difficult to count them precisely. If the number now introduced dwarfs this number in a very significant way, for grains of sand aren’t merely chaotically arranged, for we, literally, would not have enough time to count them all. These two notions are very, very different, and would necessarily create a sense of wonder and astonishment, as the eye can clearly see the difference between estimating a few thousand and a few quadrillions, in whatever arrangement you like. 9. Proof, again? Look into Hipparchus’ map, and I’ve mentioned this before. These catalogs don’t contradict each other in any significant way. Do your research. I don’t have to copy paste. Just look into it. 10. You say that there is no comparison and claim that I lack objectivity. If there is no comparison, please provide a logically coherent answer to the use of vast uncountable numbers and the mention of both stars and grains of sand in relation to that.
@@byteme9718 11. First books of the Bible are plagiarised ? Provide proof please, Mr evidence. Spelling the name Mohammed, or Mohamed is so utterly insignificant as “this name” is the anglicized version of the Arabic. The “M” sound isn’t doubled in Arabic. There is no “correct” way to spell it in english. Just as some call him Jesus, or Yeshua or, or Yehoshua, or Yeshu. I was merely pointing out that the Quran uses as accepted fact, homiletic interpretations suggested by the Rabbis. I wasn’t speaking of the Talmud. Now, being that you haven’t studied it, at all, you are just expressing ignorance. Legends and fables, yes, the ancient world is full of them. Yet, over 70 percent of the Talmud explains Jewish Law and details the exegesis and involved at arriving at these conclusions. This has nothing to do with legends or fables, it’s a rather intellectual analysis of the religious books. I wouldn’t call this “fantasy”. It’s a historical document of arguments. There is, however, an interesting matter mentioned in the Talmud about the number of stars, which would clarify this alleged verse which you interpret as “a reasonable number too confusing to be counted”. The Talmud lucidly expounds upon a number of stars as numbering closer to the grains of sand. Remember, the Talmud was compiled roughly around 1500 years ago, thus, there is no sleight of hand involved, in the days were star catalogs, such as those of the Greeks, numbered approximately 5000: י"ב מזלות בראתי ברקיע ועל כל מזל ומזל בראתי לו שלשים חיל ועל כל חיל וחיל בראתי לו שלשים לגיון ועל כל לגיון ולגיון בראתי לו שלשים רהטון ועל כל רהטון ורהטון בראתי לו שלשים קרטון ועל כל קרטון וקרטון בראתי לו שלשים גסטרא ועל כל גסטרא וגסטרא תליתי בו שלש מאות וששים וחמשה אלפי רבוא כוכבים “Twelve constellations have I created in the firmament, and for each constellation I have created thirty hosts, and for each host I have created thirty legions, and for each legion I have created thirty cohorts, and for each cohort I have created thirty divisions, and for each division I have created thirty camps, and to each camp I have attached three hundred and sixty-five thousands of myriads of stars, corresponding to the days of the solar year” (Talmud Brachot 32b) The Talmud claims: He created 12 constellations. To each constellation He assigned 30 Chail (Hebrew term defining a large camp) For each Chail, He created 30 legions. For each legion, He created 30 rehatons. (Greek names of military camps) For each rehatons, He created 30 kartons. For each karton, He created 30 Gistera. For each gistera, He created 365*1000*10000 stars. The result comes up to 12*30*30*30*30*30*365*1000*10000 10^18 stars Now, you can’t claim what you want about the matter. Jewish tradition, at least counting back to 1500 years ago, believed in a vast amount of astronomical bodies, much greater than any ancient catalog. This clearly contradicts any of your supposed interpretations which you’ve imposed upon the text. Perforce, the comparison according to Jewish tradition is relevant to astronomical quantities.
@@byteme9718 1. Epic of Gilgamesh!? So basic and old rehashed nonsense. Besides “the flood”, there is nothing remotely similar. Moreover, your “proof” is evidence against your contention. There are at least 200 flood myths, from a variety of different places, this phenomenon would actually suggest that there is more to this story than meets the eye. 2. You are ridiculous, as we’ve said there is no “right” way to spell it, it’s an Arabic name!! “Muhammad (Arabic: مُحَمَّد, romanized: Muḥammad), also spelled Muhammed or Muhamad or Mohammad or Mohammed or Mohamed or in a variety of other ways..” Do some research, it’s just click away. What are you even arguing about? Your throwing punches in the air. Thus, your contention is poorly based and researched. 3. Genesis is Naive for those who haven’t studied it, or know how to study it. 4. Ok, now, your responses are getting increasingly lazy. It is, indeed, a record of discussions and hairsplitting arguments about Jewish law, that is its primary focus by far. Your idea of “legends and myths and angels” is utterly wrong because you haven’t actually studied it. Very characteristic of you is actually the way yo7 see things, and judge without even knowing about the matter at hand. 5. Clutching unto straws because you’ve said so? That’s not an argument. I provided a very ancient, over, at least, 1500 year old document claiming very clearly that the number of stars is closer to 10^18, yet, you dishonestly ignore this? You literally have nothing to say. It’s so easy to say “it’s nonsense”, yet, not provide any rebuttal. It would have been better not to answer, it’s superfluous, for obviously that’s your position. 6. Your interpretation is contradicted logically (for people of the past have categorised every star at their view), textually (for the text supports a comparison that clearly demonstrates astronomical numbers similar to grains of sand), and historically (the Jewish people had a tradition of stars numbering closer to grains of sand, 10^18). 7. Instead of showing some intellectual humility and say, “I’m actually not in expert in Biblical exegesis and tradition”, you’d rather respond with empty comments. I think any serious person without any bias would have definitely, at least, considered this number provided by the Talmud as something “interesting”, especially emerging in the days, where, very developed Greek star maps were already circulating.

I think like a lot of stories in the bible, there could have been a very physical object or essence that had the knowledge of good and evil. That whatever it was held this knowledge and was easily within reach, but God told them not to touch it, and the serpent tempted them. It could very easily be that the garden was an actual garden, and God was the gardener that wanted someone to share the garden with. We really don't know... Or possibly the expansion of human brain capacity. With a more complex mind, humans can comprehend what’s good and what’s evil, and are thus able to be judged when they sin.

One thing that hasn’t happened yet that is written in revelations is the story of the two witnesses. According to the scripture, there are these two men sent by god to preach the word of the lord. The whole world mocks them and eventually these two men get killed. For three days their bodies will lay on the ground as no one wants to bury them but then on the third day they will rise as God commands them to do. What i find interesting is that according to the Bible, all the nations of the world will bear witness to this at once. Re: Isaiah 40:22: He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in. The older English word "earth" found in the Old Testament translates the Hebrew word 'eretz.' Both mean land/country/ground/soil, but not "planet." In ancient times what we now call a "planet" was called a "wandering star," and as that name implies it was always something seen up in the sky; it WASN'T the ground beneath your feet. If you were an Old Testament Israelite the ground beneath your feet was 'eretz' (hence "earth"--uncapitalized). Our word "Earth"--capitalized because it's a proper noun, the name of our planet--is a more modern usage stemming from the scientific revolution in astronomy where humans came to understand that we too live on a 'wandering star' that's part of an entire solar system of such bodies all orbiting the Sun. So the 'planetary' usage, "Earth," is more recent and doesn't appear in our English Bible. The upshot is that Isaiah is talking about THE LAND having or being a circle in this verse; he's not talking about the shape of our planet being either a disk or a sphere because 'eretz' in biblical Hebrew doesn't mean 'planet.' (Modern Hebrew is another matter.) So an improved rendering of the first line of the verse would be: 'He sits enthroned above the circle of the land....' How does the land have a circle, or how is the land a circle? The most reasonable suggestion I'm aware of is that 'circle of the land' is a reference to the 360 degree circular horizon which always encompasses people wherever they live or travel (before the modern era of submarines, aircraft, and spacecraft). The Hebrew word 'chuwg' indeed means circle/compass/circuit. The perspective of the land being 'circular' wherever you live or go makes great sense for ancient people who dwell on the ground and its environs and are continually surrounded by the visible horizon. The perspective of Earth as a planet in space and viewed as such from orbit is a modern one.
Is the Bible right about “the life” being “in the blood?” If one’s life is located somewhere that would primarily be in one’s brain and nervous system. We think nothing of blood transfusions, but cutting out part of one's brain and replacing it with someone else's is a far more serious matter.
Life originates from DNA and RNA which is in the tissues, and the largest tissue in all organisms is the blood. The brain is part of the nervous system so your knowledge of biology is lacking. The nervous system can't function without blood.
@@meganshelley4397 Rana at Reasons to Believe, on the cross shaped protein argument: “I would caution Christians against using this “argument.” I see a number of problems with it. (And so do many skeptics.) First, the cross shape is a simple structure found throughout nature. So, it’s probably not a good idea to attach too much significance to laminin’s shape. The t configuration makes laminin ideally suited to connect proteins to each other and cells to the basal reticulum. This is undoubtedly the reason for its structure. Secondly, the cross shape of laminin is an idealized illustration of the molecule. Portraying complex biomolecules in simplified ways is a common practice among biochemists. Depicting laminin in this extended form helps scientists visualize and catalog the binding sites along its four arms. This configuration should not be interpreted to represent its actual shape in biological systems. In the basal reticulum, laminin adopts all sorts of shapes that bear no resemblance to a cross. In fact, it’s much more common to observe laminin in a swastika configuration than in a cross-like one. Even electron micrographs of isolated laminin molecules that appear cross-shaped may be misleading. Their shape is likely an artifact of sample preparation. I have seen other electron micrographs that show laminin adopting a variety of twisted shapes that, again, bear no resemblance to a cross. Finally, laminin is not the only molecule “holding things together.” A number of other proteins and polysaccharides are also indispensable components of the basal reticulum. None of these molecules is cross-shaped.
