@emotionless_ginger lowkey my sims4 game lags way more and takes longer to load already than my sims3 did, also I'd rather have one super long load screen to get the whole world instead of any time I wanna travel having one
With the sheer amount of building currently going on in the games community its obviously time for the developers to focus on cleaning that area up but alas… EA
@@becki8000 I'll suffer the load screens until they have kids and then they nearly never leave the house because day care and nannies/butlers are USELESS. Kids just come home starving, dirty, exhausted etc.
This thing of clicking to go home and having your sim WALK all the way there, only to be brought to a transition screen at the very moment they are about to step onto the property 😭😭😭😂😂😂
I didn't know you could edit the world in sims 3! Thats actually fire. I'm overe here in sims 4 tryna figure out how to move some trees over out of my sims house view with TOOL lol
OPEN WORLD ✨ Right like remember the sims 3 trailer? They made SUCH a huge deal of getting "out of the box" and into the real open world.. just to turn around and limit the sims again within certain zones. Sure, it's more open than sims 2, however it just felt like a huge step back
At least there was a gameplay to crash to be upset with. I dont actually mind when my sims 4 crash down. It is same sims anyways. It's a literal doll house
The color picker/chooser. You can make any object any color and texture you want! The sims 4 feels like a step backwards, so I'm still happily playing the sims 3😊
Horse lead Cars. Boats. Control animals movements. Horse big parcour not just one ugly line Dog house Bird to catch in the wild . Lizard. Turtle. Snake. More realistic tack for horse. That all I need in the sims 4 to be realy happy to play 😭
Also the world tool program. The tool hasn’t been updated in like 13 years and it takes some time to get used to it and it’s definitely a little janky but still. At least you had the option to create your own world from scratch and design it how you want.
Ngl open world is one of the few things I don't miss. It caused way too many performance issues and a lot of the open world spaces were just unused by me unless I was on a lot.
Tbh I’ve played more sims 4 than 3 but although the open world is fun it can be laggy but also what i love about not having open worlds is that when I have multiple sims in a house I can focus on one by taking them out and then the rest will just get on with it, with the open world I have to make sure my sims are still alive if I’m only traveling with one lol so I can’t just leave them to it they won’t just take care of themselves
I have litteraly the opposite issue. If I take a sim out of the house to another lot in Sims 3, I know they are completely fine as they will look after themselves. In Comparison when I take out a sim in Sims 4, not only can I not multitask due to the lack of Open World, but whenever I get home ALL the other sims's needs are extremely low, and I've had occasions where they've died because of it.
i remember playing the sims 3 on a potato laptop when my dad just gave it to me 10 years ago, then i tried playing the sims 4 in 2020 and it felt different because it wasn't open world, i think it's time to go back to playing the Sims 3 again
There is actually coding in sims 4 for open world but it's almost a none active code which is part of why we have bugs because none active codes such as it being multi player and open worlds cause software rot
We actually did have an open world for sims 4 but the guy was working on the mod and sims 4 brought out the cottage living or something and completely ruined his version so he quit or something like that. Was called Brookheights/Brookeheights I think.
While the Open World was laggy, it's 2024 now and a lag free open world Life Sim is possible, especially with Paralives being Open World while also catering to low end PCs Unfortunately Sims 4 was built on a horrible engine so it can't get Open World but Sims 5 absolutely needs it if EA wants it to still be relevant and Innovative. They also need to stop catering to 10 year old PCs and instead take advantage of the new tech, it's unfair to everyone who actually has a PC that can run an Open World Life Sim well.
Open world seems great until it takes my sim 5 minutes to run back home from one side of the map to the other 😭 I’d rather have a few second loading screen lol
Not entirely true. I'm pretty sure you're able to do it through the Edit Town function. While it's not convenient at all, it proves that if EA wanted to they could easily implement it so it's easy to do it (like in sims 4)
The only problem with the open world is that they give it to us, they just don't add more townies to the world I think, in some of the new worlds (idk the name) for example the for rent pack world, it is open but there aren't many townies about so we get the open world but it looks more empty, hope this makes sense and helps Also the fact that there is 9 parts to this
I remember being SO confused when i started playing sims 4 because I. "couldn't find" the option to edit the world/neighborhoods. Little did i know at that point that EA had simply stopped giving ALL of the fuck a doodle doos.
