The concept of hereditary Caste division itself is not Indian, it's a superimposition of the Spanish/Portuguese caste system and the English Class system in India, intending to divide the natives and use them against each other while the English hold power and work as a mediator. Caste was a pyramid scheme that Europeans sold to Indians via their English imposition in Indian society to divide Indians into groups/ghettos and make them fight with each other. So don’t mix up Varna with Gotram, Varna is Profession, and Gotram is Lineage. Hindus are free to marry in different Varnas, only avoid marrying in the same Gotram because it is considered the same bloodline, hence we don’t marry between brothers and sisters.
Lol doing all mistakes amd blaming on british or Portuguese has become the new normal. Even a brahmin wont marry a non brahmin. I dont think brahmin was created by Portuguese. Stop this nonsense

We are raising our kid without the influence of any religion, culture, etc and we are okay with whichever religion my kid chooses once he grows up. For now it's no religion 😊
I totally relate to this. Except no relative of mine has asked me to teach my kid our language or culture (I don't have parents so mentioned only relatives here) I am a south indian (kannadiga) and my husband is Caucasian from US. We have a newborn and I am talking to her in kannada and my husband and inlaws speak to her in English. Inter caste marriages are a big problem when customs of both sides are vastly different. For example veg - non veg, orthodox families with great discipline- modern families with less restrictions, only polite words usage in the family- harsh vulgar words usage in the family, value based family - family that goes along with the rest of the society etc etc...
It's upto us how we saw this thing... If we saw it as problem then only problem will occur If we saw this as opportunity new ways new experiences we can catch
@@KhotSaee You have no experience with this. When families on both sides stand on the exact opposite of the spectrum, it becomes hard to have contact with both sides though there is love for both families. Following the customs of the father's side is equal to denying those of mother's side and because of that for one side of the family we can do nothing but greet on social media.

The Child's so lucky to know two prominent languages from very different language families. Knowing Marathi will make it easy for them to learn other Indo Aryan languages and Tamil will help in understanding other Dravidian ones. I am pentalingual but unfortunately I know only Indo Aryan languages so Dravidian languages are so difficult. Knowing more than one language especially significantly different ,unrelated languages during childhood increases intelligence but also it may give them an identity crisis. That's one perk of being born in intercommunal households I guess ^_^

I am Maharashtrian speak both Marathi and Hindi (obviously has to do being a Mumbaite lived among Sindhi's and Punjabi's) and my wife is Iranian who speaks Persian and our 3 and half year old son born in Chicago hasn't taken either of the culture/linguistic skills. Actually we both speak English at home, so it's so difficult for the child to pick up our native languages. We are just hoping that as he is consolidating on English, he might be able to pick up our native languages as we've recently started teaching him a bit of both. A multilingual individual has more advantages I definitely agree with this point.
