Alex Wales I think it’s just because the parents are excited for many things. They’re excited to decorate the room and buy it clothes. Plus, knowing the sex of the baby makes it only more real. Of course the baby won’t grow up to fit the stereotypes of both genders but there’s nothing wrong with raising the baby a certain way until it’s older. Usually when the kid is a teen, that’s when they start discovering who they really are.
