Yeah brother! Welcome to Australia 🇦🇺 We had Hungry Jacks and Burger King at one point, but that was after Burger King broke their contract and then all the shops were taken over by Hungry Jack’s 🍔
Not quite mate, burger king came to Australia and there was already a trademark on the name burger king from another small restaurant, so they settled on the name hungry jacks
@@evanyoung2695 yes that is also true! But they definitely had hungry jacks and Burger King at the same time. In sydney we had Burger King and I remember road trips when i was a kid and Brisbane had hungry jacks … it’s all so confusing 😂
That's when Burger King tried to take back their license from Hungry Jack's Australian licensee. Hungry Jacks won the right to keep the license in court. But before that victory, Burger King opened several of their own stores. That's why there were both Burger Kings and Hungry Jacks at one time. Now, most Burger Kings are gone.

Remember when Burger King tried to take back Hungry Jacks license from the Australian licensee so they can operate as the sole Burger King/Hungry jacks restaurants. But Hungry Jacks took them to court and won. That's why there are still some Burger Kings restaurants around, a remnant of that time at the turn of the century.
i know that exact hungry jacks you are at. it’s directly next to regent place (or maybe it’s technically part of regent place) right where the Event cinemas is. Town hall george street Sydney NSW
They are the same place neither owns each other because it is one place, they just had to change the name in Australia because there was another place called burger king
Welcome mate but watch out for kangaroos and magpies trust and don’t fight an emu we and also don’t mention the kangaroo war and the emu war we are still embarrassed about that
