Something else that would be good is the ability to move rocks and boulders without needing to park a trailer near them so they won't revert back to their original positions. There are several maps where it would be helpful to take a bulldozer out and push all the rocks off of a roadway, or alternatively, you could take small rocks to a very muddy area and dump them to make new rocky paths over the mud
Better engine sounds would be nice listen to spintires engine sounds and then compare it to snowrunner like the Maz in spintires sounds like it actually has a tank engine in it in real life but the zikz 605r just feels punie. Better mud phisics like spintires there's a video called spintires in 2023 that explains it well.
One thing I'd like to see is random missions that pop up at random times on the map. That way even when you've finished all the main missions, if you enjoy the map you can still do something there. And the ability to accept or decline these missions to make them disappear would be good so that you don't absolutely to do them to get them off your map. Maybe a terminate contract option as well for when it goes horribly wrong and your patience goes out the window?
I wished they make traffic in the maps and like you i whish that ther would be some random missions like traffic accident or vehicles with damaged parts wht must be repairt ir towed
Id really like to see development of the further road repair. Not only would it be cool to repair and clear a road to be blacktop all the way through a map (just a few main routes) you could also give highway trucks more use.
This and elgandos' idea of clearing loose rocks off roads/packing gravel into muddy areas would also bring a lot of content to existing maps. The other day I was thinking about modded maps based on vanilla ones, but set in the near future when the floods are over, roads are being repaired and the towns expanding - and you are there to help with those projects
animals i understand, how about adding the people your actually doing contracts for as well. what id like to see is options to add manual transmissions to all the trucks, that would actually be really beneficial and solve a lot of issues with terrain or certain missions were consistent speed is a matter of finishing or failing
I can't remember which map I was in but, on the front porch of one house there was a man just standing there. And not one of those that fades away. I was right up next to him. I was so surprised. I wish there was more of that.
I really like the train idea! I had thought about being able to define logistics routes for highway trucks, but train stations do a similar thing, just more rigidly defined.
I do like the train idea too, and thinking it could be made to require fuel with and consume fuel for going between maps. Prehaps it could move logs, cargo, fuel, and maybe trucks.
I would love a sandy map, or like Australia! Also construction equipment like dozers and dump truck. Maybe even AI driven cars to make us pay attention to the roads more
1. whether is actually build road or just animation like bridge mission, it will be fun and can make highway truck more useful 2. same with train, in order to be able to use it, we need rail road repair mission 3. we need mission that make the next delivery more efficient without taking out off road element like transfer cargo from remote pickup site with off road truck to highway truck that run on road that we need to build first then to the train and so on
It'd also go well with the road construction part. One could deliver truck loads of gravel to mud pits to make them less deep, or salt/sand to iced roads to make them viable for other vehicles. If it can't be stimulated directly with the physics engine, then perhaps for a chosen set of particularly inconvenient obstacles with pre-made terrain alternatives, just like fixing bridges works right now.
@@jenswurm As well I the dump trucks with a digger of some kind could take the rocks off the main roads that are really annoying. Or when you clear the rock falls it takes all of it somewhere else instead of leaving the scraps that are always there and just annoying for highway trucks
I'd like to see a European addition. With European maps and vehicles more common there. Don't get me wrong, the foreign vehicles in the current game are cool, but fresh views. Also seeing that you are helping to improve road conditions and possibly scouting out completely new routes and places to place scales, loading zones, service stations, all after you scout, locate and clear the way and perhaps hire loggers if you want. Then sell the wood to pay others. I think there's a lot of room for growth. I also think side by side, dirt bikes and rallye car events for raising money could be fun!
Being able to make a road train would also be nice like in Australia or New Zealand where you can multiple trailers I don’t expect full level 9 road trains but more up from 2-4 trailers would be fine and maybe can include scout road trains too
I've been saying since black river that we should be able to temporarily gravel over or salt over curtain parts of the maps maybe for like 2 day cycles or something
finally someone that made a video about things to add. everyone else has almost no expectations to the devs. and this is really showing in the dlcs. dump trucks excavators for loading dumptrucks(it is 2023, there is no excuse for not beeing able to do it because of physics limitations in videogames) bulldozers for cleaering roadblocks bigger cranes lifting construction materials in place by yourself for higher payouts walking mode(even possible in beamngdrive) fixing loads on the truck on hooks by yourself(like in farming simulator.) so much potential but we only get slot cargo to drive from a to b. container trailers, container handler etc better modification for the trucks color everything, patterns and design for addons, frames etc livery editor different horns trailer for loading cars trailer customization garbage trucks with a garbage crusher in the rear so much potential and we just get"drive 2 slots from a to b"
I want a spot at the garage that you can get a pallet of fuel/repair parts and tires so you could drive any truck with a bed and have extra fuel ext. Also they have added a lot of trucks over time but why not trailers? It would be cool to get some new trailers. Like a service repair saddle low trailer or a long log tow behind or a high saddle that’s a good size like 6 cargo with ramps for loading vehicles. Also vehicle based XP so if I spend a lot of time doing missions with certain trucks you get even more bumpers extended fuel tanks. Roof supplies. Maybe access to extreme vehicle mods like making engines stronger but eat significantly more fuel or make the axels wider for more stability but you lose turning radius. Or make custom transmission at cost of fuel economy weight or durability. Idk lots of customization is good.
Would also be really nice if they fixed the physics, add traffic, people and animals like you said. And most of all I would like to see changes to the map after doing contracts so I feel like I’m actually doing something other than just driving there with this and then going there to deliver that, it get’s repetitive and boring after a while
They need to add a box trailer so we can utilize the CAT "forklift" more. Also, even if it has to be attached with a offroad map, I want a highway map. I hate having things in game I wouldn't use. Highway tires should be useful for something other than starting the game.
In game are cargo: - Vehicle Spare Parts - Fuel Why this cargo has not reapir points and wheels (Vehivle spare parts) and fuel (fuel cargo)? These parts should be available in warehouses (no limit) or in local depots (limited quantity). In this way, vehicles could be repaired without the need for maintenance additives.
The main thing I would like to see in the game is map restoration. Like your idea of fixing a road, but more. Building bridges that span valleys so I don't have to keep driving through super deep mud over and over, unflooding the whole highway in Wisconsin, Repairing all of the flood damage in Michigan, being able to plow all the snow off the roads in Alaska. You know actually make permanent changes to the maps that make them more user friendly the longer you play. Also, there needs to be more ability for red-neckification with our trucks. Every truck could support a roof rack, crane+bed+trailer, and extra large fuel tanks. Everyone will agree that the mods in the game for trucks leave tons of room for way more useability than what we are limited to. The F-750 could have a whole other fuel tank on the driver side of the truck, there is a ton of room on most of the 8x8's for added fuel capacity.
I find it ironic that the only map with snow (so far in my game) was the least fun... in a game called snowrunner! And the first map was the best. Great variety of terrain, from narrow hill climbs to the lake shore which varied from sucking mud to gnarly rocks. Its like they used up all their creativity in map 1. And I always found recovery missions the most fun, hauling a busted truck out of some gnarly spot. Simply grinding miles is the least fun, so your train idea is good.
The road thing is not a bad idea I suggest them to make the road fixable but maybe you could trigger bad wether that could destroy the road again so maybe you can fix it again and if you leave it and don’t want to do it maybe npcs could actually fix y the road them selfs
One thing i would love honestly and they CAN do it anytime they want wolud be a "make your own" update or "costumization" update idk they can come up with good names i can't,by that update i mean an update that literally adds almost all upgrade to all vehicles still within limits ofcorse BUT i'm talking about AWD and Diff Lock on literally all vehicles as upgrades such as the highway trucks and so on,irl is 100% possible to modify any vehicle for something like that and i would genuinely love to use the Ford 9000 or other highway trucks as my small/medium sized trucks for simple hauling but because they have no diff lock and/or AWD it's impossible and in this game there are no roads,just mud bogs and pits and mud made paths. You literally cannot use any highway trucks other than the GMC and the reason that alone is good is because of that specific reason cuz it has AWD and Diff lock upgrades and funny part is they sold themselves out and shilled the fucking new Wester Star highway pack as a promotion(they probably didn't want those trucks in game they just got paid big time for it) and ask for a huge amount of money for the pack to begin with way way more than it's worth and ppl still CANNOT FUCKING USE THEM. That whole DLC is literally useless. This game needs a huge huge expansion and alot of limitations removes when it comes to upgrades (and yes all of those are possible and as easy as editing some files and i do make my own mods for it i know wtf i'm talking about,simple upgrades for already existing vehicles are some of the easiest things they can do) and alongside those the game also needs a change of pace in terms of roads,i get it's meant to e an off-road sim but just like they change the load type and missions and such which is good and keeps the game fresh they also need to switch from the already overused snow and mud crawling to some other types of road and driving experiences. Then again they don't give a shit about improving the game,they just want to add as much DLC as possible for the money even scam the ppl who have the yearly passes by making content that is not included in the yearly pass which to my knowledge a yearly pass is literally a thing you pay to get 100% of the content for that year -_-. Then again it took these idiotic developers and greedy bastards 2-3 years to solve that one bug with the strange mud spots on the terrain so that says alot. . . .
This issue with bulk materials is spilling them it wouldn't work when you roll over because this game dosnt have voxles to allow real terrain manipulation tho it would be cool to deliver loads of gavel to a mud whole and make it passable by highways trucks and other stuff but would would need a overhaul of the game engine and more like a new game mabey snowrunner 2
I think there should be more levels. Reaching lvl 30 is done very easy and fast. So any exp earned by missions is pointless. Or put levels on each truck. Example: You have a truck with no offroad or chain wheels. By using them you gain exp for that truck and can unlock them. Or unlock better winches. Like you said, by now making money isn't important like the exp. So doing a contract or mission does not feel rewarding. It fells like playing the game becomes just work with nothing to gain from it.
please see this dev's, if you did this, it would be pretty much GOTY for simulation game category. btw when you say dangerous roads, i remember scania truck driving simulator, ahh sweet memories
1: Yes, the dump trucks, or even just hauling dirt/gravel/rocks/sand/asphalt in the first place, could be really fun. Especially if the game engine was capable of losing parts of that cargo from reckless driving. 2: The train would be so awesome. I mean, an example of where a train would be useful is Michigan. Taking a load from Black River (long logs, anyone?) to Island Lake or Drummond Island can be tedious, a train would help so much. 3: Road constructions. Hell yes. I mean, three words should be enough to explain why, right? "Don" and "Kola Peninsula." I mean, having a snow plow to clear a road from snow would be really useful, too. And the previous bit of dump trucks and dirt hauling goes pretty hand-in-hand with it. 4: Personally, while modern trucks are cool, I'd like to see the old trucks return from previous games. But modern is good too. 5: Vitim River Bridge. Also the *_amazing_* La Luna mod maps from MudRunner. Genuinely dangerous roads with real risk where the wrong truck can completely screw you over. 6: Yes! The game world needs more life! 7: Yes. Seeing the world improving from your work is so much more rewarding than just money. 8: An electric car could also have an addon like solar panels on the roof, but would eliminate a roof rack, so less repairs and spare wheels. Obviously, it could haul emergency fuel for other vehicles, too, but it wouldn't use any. Using it at night would also be dangerous, since the solar panels couldn't recharge it. Alternatively, it could be tweaked to run out quicker at night for an extra bit of challenge.
Id like to see some maps with real road sections and off road sections that are defined. I want a reason to use highway trucks but all the paved roads in this game still devolve into mud every 200 meters. And the tunnels are usually the worst part of the road so you can't even use them for trans map cargo carrying. Give me a reason to have a truck at the load point, one to go between, and a 3rd to get to the drop off point. Usually you would just swap trailers but there would even be times to use a crane besides that one guy who keeps dropping 4 of something or logs.
Improving vehicle physics would help. Ive rode in many rigs of many types in my life and I dont know of any trucks that loose their grip on asphalt at 30 mph. They fix that ill start playing it again. Until then this game can piss off.
Yes on the train, especially if you can drive it like Train Sim. No on dangeruos roads. I've seen them in ATS and ETS and they're a no go; if I find SnowRunner's winding roads frustrating (I agree you can spend hours on mud and snow and it doesn't really work) I hate ATS and ETS dangerous roads. Also, they could add construction vehicles and quests with that I do agree, especially if it's about building or improving a very nasty road segment.
A thing That missing for me is vocal and text chat for multiplayer.....there is no way to communicate... honk and blink 😢... But à lot of way are missing in the game... cet tree maybe 😂😂😂😂 the road building i validate this thing or clean the road ....
"More Modern Truck" means need a license, thats mean need a money to pay a right to bring that brand into the game. Do u thinks the truck company like a VOLVO or MERCEDES will allow dev use their brand for free? Their will suck ur blood untik yourt dry man.. hahaha
