Things to do in Alaska's Inside Passage 

amazing rain forest and i have learn a lot about it. i didn't know that it's the largest temperate rain forest in the world. its really interesting to watch. beautiful and love it.

Apparently this is another must-see part of Alaska. In fact, Alaska has more to see and do than I had expected.

I would go back to the Inside Passage if I could every year. It was a great time!

I've made 4 fly-and-drive trips to Alaska over the years, and then added an Inside Passage cruise-based visit this last summer with stops at Ketchikan, Wrangell and Tracy Arm Fjord/Sawyer Glacier. The passage is beautiful, and Sawyer Glacier is spectacular, one of the bluest glaciers I've seen. Having just one day at Ketchikan felt rushed - too much I didn't have time to do - but I'm also comparing that to my previous 4-day stays in both Sitka and Juneau. The longer stays let me take in the cities at a more leisurely pace, gave me time for more excursions and activities, and - for me a real plus - I got to see what these cities are really like when there aren't 3 cruise ships full of passengers wandering the streets (although Sitka had minimal cruise ship crowds when I visited).
