Yes, there used to be a british army base nearby. Lots of international students live here.

German expat here. After 15 years in Canada, I'll be moving to Düsseldorf next year. I'm still not 100% if it's the right decision to leave Canada, but your video really makes me look forward to living in Düsseldorf. Thank you putting this together, I really appreciate it.

Tolles Video und hübsche Reporterin. Vielleicht das beste an Düsseldorf. Ich bin Amerikaner, der irgendwann da leben könnte. Ein wirklich schönes Gebiet aus Nordrhein-Westfalen am Rhein. Eine einzigartige Stadt, die auf einer großen Biegung im Fluss sitzt.

Düsseldorf is still underrated. And also hard to discover, cause you have to know the cool places all over the city. But this video is doing a good job.

No, it's overrated. There are only just a few places you can go without meeting people you don't wanna see or talk to. There's human feces everywhere, people stealing your stuff, no smile! Just go to Passau or any other really beautiful and nice city, because there are really great cities in Germany, but Düsseldorf's not one of them!

Yes, the architecture is nice in Düsseldorf. You'll find some modern buildings and then as well the traditional houses in the old town.

I live in Düsseldorf and it's nothing special for me. Everyday I see the Rheinturm from my Work (7 Floor) and after the 100 time you get bored of it. Life is stressed hear too many people and you can't just go Shopping without someone bumping into you. I would prefer to live in a chill place like Hawaii because Germans only think about work and money and the mentality here is not so chilled like in other Countries....

Depends what you value. I moved to Volmerswerth which feels rural and quiet, although it takes less than 10min to Bilk shopping mall and 15min by subway to the city center.

The cruise takes around 1 hour. I think there were also longer options. You can buy the ticket right at the river, where the cruise leaves.
