I was born and Raised in Alabama, And I had no clue this place existed! Thanks man!! Looks like this is where we are going on our next Family Vacation :)
Gulf Shores was my summer childhood in the 90's. Dennys Best Western on the beach! Giant waterfall in the pool , meals day round. I love this town. Who remembers Coconut Willie's??
The new zoo looks so much better than when we went back in 2014, the animals looked awful. It’s a very good thing the new woman took over she’s done a wonderful job with the place!
And so much more. AL is a great State to live or visit. Make plans now! From the Gulf of Mexico, deep Sea fishing to N AL with some of the best hunting and fishing in the Country. Mountains to hike and wonderful State parks. Talladege Motor Speedway, the Worlds fastest race track and Barbers race track in Leeds, AL that also features the Worlds largest motorcycle museum. The list goes on and on. VISIT.
I went here from my summer camp which was in Mobile. It was so much fun but then I lost my sunglasses there. Also another fun place is Gulf Islands Waterpark in Mississippi!
@@ReneesNest91 www.google.com/search?q=cotton+bayou+state+park&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari If you want to be in the middle of hotels and shops this isn’t the place. But, it’s easy to get to, parking is a breeze (though we got to the beach around 11). You do pay for parking, but it’s not expensive and having an easy walk do the beach is worth it. Also, there are public restrooms that are decent. We liked being away from all the “touristy” stuff.
Ahhhz Six Jensen MAINLY the Red Roof I think? One key unlocks all of the doors 😬 But it also happens in other parts too. Don’t go anywhere that isn’t very crowded or try not to go anywhere alone. Going out at night also isn’t a good idea.
alright that's cool. if y'all do happen to make it back up this way this year come in october the pensacola interstate fair is in town with a few roller coasters to also check out. just a local tip for y'all.
No a roadside attraction with animals doesn’t take care of their animals. I feel like that’s a nice little zoo. The new zoo tho feels like it will be more of a state zoo then just a little city zoo.
We are down here currently and its been great so far. We live in AL but rarely take trips. Fishing is pretty neat and resturants are always nice lol. Theres dolphin seeing stuff too.
I really hope OWA does well. Didn't look like many people were there. I wish I'd gone to Hard Rock Park before it closed. Rolling Thunder at Coney Island is jerky as heck. The Alabama Wham’a chair flat ride is like a mix between a paratrooper and enterprise. Looks like a blast. www.zamperla.com/products/endeavour/ visitowa.com/explore/the-park/alabama-whama/ Waterville was badly flooded from hurricane Ivan. Glad they opened back up (~3 years later). Hopefully the new zoo there has much larger enclosures. I hate small zoos because the enclosures are usually small. Gatlinburg and Sevierville have zoos even smaller than this. You sure don't mind spending big money on drinks and snacks. :)
I HIGHLY recommend the Hurricane and fried gator bites at the Pink Pony Pub! Also, take some wet wipes and maybe a spare t-shirt if you go into the lemur experience, they peed on my wife!.....I know, I know....who wouldn't want a shower made of gold, right?
The Chocolate Labs it's a fun place believe me, definitely go to the beach, I'd recommend put put golf as well, as for local food places..couldn't find anything special, I'd avoid "the gulf" because the lines are long, and the food is not good, but they do have fast food around like Krystal and Burger King, I'd recommend just looking for some food your interested in,
The Chocolate Labs ay no problem, I went in May and I might be going again in July, hope you enjoy, also bring money, they have way too many tempting shirts and collectibles, Alvin's island alone made me broke, 😂
Yup, that is when the video was over for me. I don't like looking at sad caged animals. Yikes. Sad it is 2020 and we still treat animals this way for human entertainment.
@@pinkfloydmeddle6692 I am going to go out on a limb and assume you have no professional studies in animal growth, psych, and development, no training in vet health, etc. But yet, you have an opinion based on?....
Bahaha BITCHES! I LIVE IN GULF SHORES ALABAMA!!! Haha I also have PASSES to OWA! And I go to orange beach all the time I actually have a house and not a condo
