Do China have e-money card to pay for every public transport like metro and busses? Such as ezlink in Singapore, T-money in Korea, octopus card in Hong Kong, etc
yes they do, each city has its own metro card so you will need to pick one up at the nearest metro station to your accommodation but it makes getting around quick and easy
I was in China August 2023, I found that it was very difficult to change my foreign currency ( I had US$ as well as EURO) to RMB at the Bank of China, I had to cut my trip short.
Oh no sorry to hear that! We found we were able to take cash out at the banks from our card but in China, they don’t like foreign currency. If you return, try get what you need before arriving or use the exchange at the airport
great city... lived in Shanghai in the mid 80s, again in the 90s and a few years from 2009-11.. always been a favorite city of mine.. i prefer the old one, packed with unique character.. hard to imagine, but i have the photos to prove it 😇 - in the 80s Pudong didn't have one single neon light at night - the first one was a small Canon, which could be seen from the PuXi side.. good times.. on my bike, thru the narrow streets - but.. a lot more polluted than today.. remember the old folks in Shanghai will say.. better to have a bed in PuXi, than a suite in Pudong
Oh wow that sounds incredible. We first visited a Shanghai in 2013 then returned to live in China in 2017 and it’s amazing how quickly the country and cities changed! I would love to have seen old time Shanghai!
@@CreativeTravelGuide yea, impossible to compare.. and imagine this.. the old Sheraton hotel had the first outdoor lift in Shanghai.. good people were lining the street just to look at this lift going up and down.. I remember Steven Spielberg, who was in Shanghai to film part of "Empire of the Sun" in 1986.. he saw the crowd and made the comment.. "This is close encounter of the 3rd kind, in real life".. 🤣 Saturday evening's go-to-place was the Jazz Bar at the Peace Hotel.. well, the only place.. good times, for sure.. and great memories
thing I should know.... nothing.... everything is normal and peaceful, free from demons in earth... I'm Muslim and I'm fine...but don't follow my step...some place out there maybe fit with you when God and universe bless you
