I don’t agree with the productivity and accountability comments. I work way harder at home than at the office where there are a ton of distractions every day

I agree for myself, however I see it with at least 2 of my co workers. Sadly it puts more on my plate

@@mrspilit05 I wonder if they feel the same about you though

Persons don’t have the same behaviours profile. This mean that some persons love home office (as me!) and others don’t! Nothing wrong!

The office was hell for me. It was toxic and full of distractions. I have been thriving working from home. Just have a routine as if you’re going to the office. ie wake up at a decent time (not 1 minute before your work day starts 😂), shower, change out of your pjs and have your breakfast. Have regular breaks to recharge eg coffee breaks, screen breaks, lunch etc and most importantly, have a dedicated work space so that you separate work and home.

I set my timer for lunch and walk around the block. I find a short walk outside is a physical and mental break and clears my head for the afternoon. It's a great way to break up the day, too!

I definitely utilize my breaks to do laundry or cook a good well balanced meal. I'm out of my seat and away from my desk for at least 20 mins at a time. Also, since my laundry is in the basement and my office is on the 2nd floor I'm getting steps in as well. I plan to start going outside during my lunchbreak to get some fresh air now that the weather has warmed up.

I've learned not multitask. I thought I was good at it and found out I wasn't getting work done. You have a lot of great tips

In accounting, we are salary workers. I have done 70+ work weeks for months. A 40 Hr work week is not the norm. I currently have a position that I do about 50 hours.

I am struggling with the boundaries. Because I don’t have to stop work and commute home I lack the balance. I have a heavy workload and demanding deadlines so work day easily becomes 8am - 10/11pm 😞

Sleep hygiene is something I need to work on, same bedtime and wake up time everyday is beneficial.

Thanks for sharing. When I started working from home, I did well. I kept a routine schedule like I would if I was outside the home, then somewhere, I fell off. I need to get back to getting up and start my day early enough for a walk, coffee, and Bible study. It’s not like I can’t because I was doing it. Getting dressed and separating work and home is easy for me because when I am off, I am off.

Thanks for this video Nikki, I sadly make most of these mistakes and it is starting to show. I am ready to apply these tips to my life.

I took a tally to see how I did on the list, and not too bad!! but I do have to consecrate on so harder than others... making sure that I eat a balanced meal for energy and for turning work off at closing hours... It's about time to take control of the situation and make sure that I am not only taking care of the office responsibilities but my personal ones too!! Thanks for the tips Nikki!! Blessings

Who's missing accountability? Work from home is done on line. Everything is monitored and questioned.
