I am so happy that someone is making youtube videos about this degree. It is so new that not many people speak about it. I am in my final year and thank you for breaking down the different pathways to follow. I am doing environmental studies and i am sooo passionate about it and I'm thinking of heading for the legislation and EIA or even corporate. Still deciding.

thank you for this video! i originally wanted to study marine biology but i'm not able to leave the city so bsc environmental science is the only option for me. i've been stressing over this for months so your advice was somewhat useful, i just hope i don't regret it

Hi. The easiet thing to do is to just Google "environmental science jobs in SA" so many options pop up. From there you can make a list of the major companies in the field and visit their websites find out more. I mention a few of these companies in one of my videos...I think it was titled "careers in env. sciences"

I think all courses are challenging in their own way. BSc courses are definitely a good choice when you're still trying to figure out what exactly you want to major in. They offer a solid foundation

Geography and bio are a good choice. However, you do need to have some math knowledge. May I ask why you don't want to do math?

I would like to know if I could go further learning Master in Environmental Science after Bechlor of Environmental Studies. Because of some conditions, I chose Environmental studies but what I prefer more is Environmental science. But there is no program for Environmental Science in my Uni. Pls could u answer me 🥺

Hi, yes! I highly recommend you do an MSc. Especially if you want to work as a scientist. Also having an MSc is an advantage cos of all the practical skills you learn vs just a bachelor's degree. I suggest you look around different universities and see what they offer for their MSc programs and you can also check out a video I made on how to apply for postgraduate studies. Env. Science focusing on studying the natural environment and how humans impact it whilst Env. Health focuses on how the environment affects people I order to promote healthier lives. So u guess you can think of them as opposites

Hello. Yes, I would suggest studying environmental sciences. Different universities focus on different aspects and offer different majors. I would suggest you look at the programs offered and see which one suits you the best.

Hello Precious 😊. What specific content or information are you looking for in the textbooks? My advice is, first search the topic you want info about on Google and see what sources come up. Google might also suggest books for you to check. You can then go to your university library and see if they have the books. I hope this helps 🌱

It's a research based degree, based on the specific program you get into. So to get a "good job" you need a postgraduate degree

Honestly, I can't comment because I have no experience of studying in those countries. However, I believe it doesn't really matter which institution your degree is from as long as you're doing what you want to do.

There are some good universities but it's not easy to get enrolled into them as competition rate is very high, also seats are less some of them are reserved. So i thought doing same from some other country, but I'm unable to figure it out which country would be good for it.

There are research papers talking about how changing our eating habits and diets can help us achieve the SDGs.
