Tip start thinking careers as soon as possible - software engineer, data science, actuary, investment banking, asset management etc

Good luck! Please just try and do work everyday, obviously take days off but you can definitely get a first, like im actually begging you don’t leave it last minute like me!!👍🏽

Nice videos is it intimidating to do maths at uni and what grade in a levels would be decent for math and would further maths be expected do your also feel frustrated when not knowing how to do certain questions lol maths is really competitive people think your a genius if you ace maths when it sums up to passion and dedication

bit late but further maths isnt necessarily required but its highly recommended and you should really want to do it if youre doing a maths degree. grades depend how good the uni is.

Don't see this comment as a downer (coz it's just a general question) but is a maths degree still relevant? I see most jobs that you can get with a maths degree and most of them (i believe) would mean taking extra steps towards that job after the degree i.e. being an accountant (I don't believe it covers everything there), being a software engineer (you don't really learn any code) ect...

Of course maths degrees are still relevant ! You don't have to focus on the final job at at the end of it. Maths degree open so many doors - not just for maths based carers. A maths degree is a tricky, high demanding degree that shows you have give you great skill. It shows you work hard, have good communication skills (as to be good at maths you have to communicate mathematics to others!) and it's looked at highly by future employees for any job really. And, you do learn some code (I'm currently taking a Python module)!

I’ve only realised now ( year 12) that I really really like maths and want to study it at uni but I didn’t take further maths ( regretting it now ) ... pls tell me this won’t be too big an obstacle ?

Further maths definitely helps but it’s not always a requirement!! Check the unis you want to go to to see their requirements
