Great video. I'm Maltese and was interested to watch this video since it expresses a non-Maltese perspective on my country. 🙂 I agree with everything you stated. Note: I think one can pay by card on the busses too. They have just announced this recently, so I am not sure whether all the busses are installed with the card-payment machines yet. Cheers, and take care.
Sorry but I too dont agree with your ststement regarding the food in Malta. the food in Malta on every visit I have on has been exempelary and I have visited multiple times
i dont agree with you about the tourists who cares if there are 1000s of them people like me go on holiday not to count how many tourists there are on a beach holiday makers dont care its relax time, just because you live there i wouldnt say that was a con thats your own statement if you dont like it stay in which you do
That is true and tourist are really important for the economy as well. But its always nice to know when the peak seasons for tourists are, at least I like to know! However, thanks for the input Andrew!
In Australia the shops close at 5.30pm.... lol.... u might not like it here then. I love Malta..... it was amazing for me.... traffic wasn't really that much worse than other Mediterranean cities/tourist destinations, and trash was similar to Rome and places like that.... to be honest, I didn't really notice it too much except on their rubbish days, and I only really noticed it on their rubbish days on side streets.... and I don't agree with you regarding the food. The food there was amazing and I actually liked it even more than most places in Italy.... best food I have ever experienced was in Portugal though.... but everybody has different tastes.
She doesn’t know what side of the road she drives on but she lives there?! Do we drive on the left or the right? OMG if you don’t know that you should not live there!
Hi, i disagree with all you said in this video. Where do you come from, is it Norway? I cannot believe you had 42k views with your chit-chat grumbling about Malta, giving wrong information. I do not think you have visited Gozo.
Norway, you have a population of 5.2 Million. As of 2020, roughly 2.81 million passenger cars were registered in Norway, making them the most popular vehicle type in the Scandinavian country. Trailers and vans accounted for Norway's second and third highest stock of vehicles, at around 1.52 million and nearly 600,000, respectively. (24 Jun 2022). If I had to visit Norway, I would never stay mocking these things or saying that during the winter season, the sun doesn't rise at all, or that during the summer months, you can experience up to 24 hours of sunlight (76 days of midnight sun between May and July).
may i know how is malta 2021 tourism going ? it's getting boomy again ? purely wanna avoid crowded season. that will be super appropriate if you are willing to reply . thank you
@@SCHIU-h6x Malta is the most overpriced overrated island of the Mediterranean island. Look up grey listing Malta, not something at least I want to goto
I actually live in Malta and the construction are a bit exaggerated..... Malta is beautiful and not expensive.... watch an aerial view and you'll be surprised
Hi ! That's Cool Video . What do you do ? Job or Self-employed ? Is job opportunity good here ? Make a Video regarding job opportunities and Usual Rent in Malta ? 👍
I have to disagree about the busses. Most of the time they run on time.i also disagree about the shops. In summer they close in the afternoon as its too hot they then open in the evening. Wow..I don't know where you eat and drink...perhaps its in peaceville or Valletta but in bugibba it is very reasonable. Beer prices are from 2 euros to 3 euros 50. By far the best place to be is the Elvis tribute lounge. You get snacks for free and the entertainment is free all for the price if a beer. I donate to agree with you concerning the ridiculous amount of construction here in malta..I believe its ruining malta☹. The rest of what you say is mostly correct. Except the food IS AWESOME just avoid the quick food like kfc, McDonald's or those pizza places..I highly recommend the local cafe's and restaurants.
I agree with everything you mentioned except that we don't have good food 🙂 We have many different types of traditional food such as ftira biz-zejt, pastizzi, rabbit stew, bigilla,... Just to name a few. Great video 👍
@@sameng7003 most restaurants now have vegetarian options... Especially in touristic areas such as Valletta, Sliema, St. Julian's etc. Not a problem if you're vegetarian
Racism is a thing here. I don't think it's very bad, but beware of the older generation. If one presents himself well and you are friendly, they will respect you. I'm Maltese so I know.
Hey i just cane across your video. I want to move to Malta. I wanted to ask do you live there? How is job condition and living expense i have heard its very expensive
Great video, thanks for sharing. One thing I would say is when doing Pros and Cons I feel starting with the Pros would be much better for people wanting to visit, then warn people of the cons, as we all know there are always downsides.. My opinion is starting off the video straight on the negatives doesnt give people a good first impression, just some advice but other than thanks for all the information.
I don't know were you want to eat,but the food in Malta is beautiful and you can find Maltese tradition food every were. And not everything is expensive.
Hey Sunny, my wife and I just moved here and we're looking to meet new people, since you had Valletta in the background it'd say that you're close to Gzira. If you wanna meet up, don't hesitate to add me on FB or just respond here and we can figure sth out 😉 looking forward to hearing from you. And yes I really have to agree 100% with what yous aid in the video! Best, Sam
You seem to be inviting a lot unskilled workers to malta NO THANKS YOU can have them back in your country otherwise it seems you are saying the truth except whe you mention the food I was a chef running a restaurant for 40 years mostly tourists always with compliments to the Chef comparable to UK italy Spain Etc thanks enjoy malta bye
As a local I know Malta is far from perfect, but this video is inaccurate at best. Many bloggers/travel writers/expats praise our good food (after all it has some of the best Mediterranean influences) and fresh produce, especially our local seafood! Prices are pretty normal (if not very accessible) for a European country and if you know where to go you'll find some good cheap eats as well. Saying trash is everywhere is a bit unfair, since every town has DAILY waste collection. If you live in a high traffic/touristy town (like the one this video was shot in) then there is more of an issue with upkeep for obvious reasons and the difference is evident when visiting more 'local' areas. I could keep going, but glad you seem to be enjoying your stay nonetheless..!
thanks for giving your point of view about my country, you should add historical sites on the pro list like St John Co-Cathedral, Valletta, Fort St Angelo Birgu and other pre historic temples like Hagar Qim, Hal Saflieni Hypogeum and Ggantija in Gozo..... on the food side, where did you go out for dinner? you must going to the wrong place all the time about food IMO. anyway keep it up
Yes definitely, the history Malta holds is truly amazing! I think I’ve been very unlucky with the places I’ve gone to.. :( thanks for the comment Victor
I disagree about the food - I've been to Spain and Portugal which are usually known for their cuisine - and I was not impressed at all by their food in comparison to Malta. Yes you will eat much better in France, Italy and Sicily. Also it's interesting to note that half or even more of the restaurants in Malta are owned by Italians/Sicilians and you will find pretty much authentic Italian food wherever you go. The cuisine in Malta is improving so much, we have Michelin star restaurants now that offer a great dining experience.
@@thelosttraveller4725 Not at all. It's good. But the Maltese cuisine is definitely better, even though Portugal is more known for its food than Malta.
