Travel around Cambodia for 2 weeks. We didn't really have ideas about where to go and what to do in Cambodia apart from visiting Angkor wat.
After we spent a few days in Phnom Penh, we headed down to Kampot. It's about 3 hours bus ride from Phnom Penh.
It is a rainy season here in September. Some of the days we got pouring down rain all day long. However, some days are fine with hot sun.
We spent about 5 days in Kampot. Basically chilling out in the town. Enjoying the variety of food and the holiday vibe.
Here are the local activities we did. Of course, can't talk about them without food.
1. La Plantation pepper farm tour.
Cost US$25(including Kep tour), Great bumpy tuk-tuk ride
Time 2~3hours, free guided tour and tasting
2. Trying local fruits
We love fruits, especially in South East Asia, we have fruits every day.
The central market in the town is great place to buy some fruits.
3. Visiting the seaside town, Kep
After the pepper farm, the Tuktuk guide took us to Kep, the Crab market and beachside.
Time 3~4hours, we had a light crab meal at the market for $10 +drinks
It was the rainy season so we didn't go into the water.
4. Vegetarian restaurants
It is a holiday town. When it is the high season, there are full of tourists around. So you will have loads of choices of restaurants from Khmer food to Western food. Vegetarian restaurants and menus can be found easily in the town.
