It was my most memorable gig of the festival, thanks guys. I'm somewhere halfway back in the crowd singing along badly. I love seeing you at the grown-ups' stages, and nice to find this footage after the event.
You won’t find a better song writer than Paul Heaton, absolute genius………. The lyric of this song is even more pertinent now, today, more than ever. Stop for a minute x
PAUL you have still got it big time and a big thanks to you on your 60th birthday you picked Peadar O’Donnells in Derry for 2 free drinks along with 59 other pubs, I’m actually from near Glasgow but in Derry for a break 🇮🇪👍
Thank you SO much for putting this on here. We could only see Jacqui from the side. Couldn’t even see Paul. Even so it was our stand out Glasto moment❤️
So good to see you sing this again Paul. Would love to hear you sing Let Love Speak up Itself again too! Brilliant set and worth worth the 5 hour wait in the Acoustic Stage. Great to see Linda too.
Doe's anyone remember the small film hull 10 -London 0 or something like that... I wore out the video of the boys going to cake shops and burning toast, I'm not going mad am I ? Norman was already mixing... that video must be in my attic somewhere lol
I copied the lyrics for this for some English homework before it was released as a single. I changed the title to Changes for a pensioner. Not bad for a 15 year old I thought. I got a B 😂
The 1 hour video ''Down the pub with Mick Lynch and Eddie Dempsey'' by PolticsJOE { pay special attention to the 51.05 + 51.52 marks - and play them on repeat - til they sink in }
From what I’ve seen on TV, this is a rare performance as they all seem to be singing in tune, even the audience. Many of the other “singers” couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket.
