I would add an internal zippered pocket to the bag. I also always add a tether for my keys. Saves me losing them and saves me scrambling about in my bag in a dark and rainy night.
I have recently made 2 Nicks Dresses by Closet Core and I love this pattern. I wore it to work yesterday and it is so comfortable. I will make another with long sleeves for our winter in Australia. Happy sewing.😍

The Sew House Seven Wildwood Wrap dress is gorgeous and lovely to make. I don’t like close fitting either but the way it wraps is very flattering. I lengthen the sleeves by a couple of inches as I hate my upper arms. Ive only made it in linen blends but a slightly heavier viscose would be lovely
Suggestion for a work dress? The cocowawa crafts Honeycomb dress. In fact I’m wearing one today! Pockets, not too loose,ties at the waist and princess seams over the bust for fitting, and a range of sleeve options. Great if your weight fluctuates as the ties bring in the waist, but can be eased off too. Think I’ll have to make another one now I’ve persuaded myself😅
I’ve got the green colour way ( my first box) and as soon as I saw it I thought Fringe dress by chalk and notch! Love your colour way as well. That bag fabric choice is fabulous. 😍
Hi Ruan - bumper boxes this month - just fab! My first thought from the thinkpink box was the fringe dress too! My fav shirt dress is The Assembly Line Shirt Dress, I've made a few and love them. I also love the Fleetwood Dress by French Navy. I've made quite a few of them and they are so comfy - drop waist kinda dress I amended it to have large slat pockets. v practical and no need for a bag! .Loving your bag kit, just fabulously put together fabric choices. I've made a Noodlehead backpack, just love them. Look forward to seeing your makes 😻💕

Lovely boxes Ruan. I really fancy making a bag from a kit. The only one I’ve made was a tote bag for one of my sons and I had to improvise really by guessing the type of fabric. It turned out well and I made it in grey with a gorgeous mustard with dogs on as I didn’t want it to look too out there. Sorry to hear about your finger. When you did your impression of asking for help I laughed because that is me. I’ve had a fractured right arm and at the start I couldn’t do much at all. Even visiting the bathroom was hard. I couldn’t get jeans on or certain boots, so restricted in so many ways. Thank fully now it’s 7 weeks ago that I fell ,so practically better. I hope your finger heals soon. Sorry I don’t have a dress pattern to recommend. I love the Reeta but it takes a full 3 metres and I’m just considering the Fringe. Actually the Arum dress would be nice for work. Sewisfaction made some lovely ones. It’s why I bought the pattern but haven’t made it yet🤣

Love the bag kit, I may have to look at doing that soon! On the shirt dress side I recently made a Megan Nielsen Matilda which is fully button through and I love it as it has a nice swishy skirt but I don’t think you’d get it out of 2.5 mtrs especially as you are tall.
Some Pattern Emporium patterns I like for work are the Meet You there Dress and the Take a Chance Shirt Dress. I also have a lot of knot dresses using McCalls 8085 and Style Arc Venice

That is a beautiful bag kit. I like the sub box fabric, the black background keeps the floral print from being too sweet and feminine. Have fun with the bag construction!

Wow! That bag is going to look great! I really love the French Poetry Stella dress, but the skirt might be a little too full for work? I have also been thinking about the I AM patterns Marty dress.
