The @apple M2 chip is seriously good. But perhaps think twice or more if you're looking at the MacBook Pro 13... this is new... yet not new. Go for the Air please.
I liked touch-bar. For me it was easier to use touch-bar especially when i had to slide something precisely to that minutes and seconds on a video or switching between tabs in safari and many others.
I get what you mean, however, I never really noticed myself utilizing it (other than for adjusting volume and brightness, however, that also stopped after I got the Mx master for mac) there was no point for me to actually be using the touch-bar other than to play around with it when I was bored.
@@mathewm3073 1st Gen touch bar doesn't have an esc key which is kinda dumb even for an average user. They fixed it soon after but people just hate it already. Anyway for power user losing fn key is also a big deal that's why mbp 13",15" 2015 was their favourite model until the new 14",16" inch pro came.
I really like the touchbar. I think it should become optional, those who want it can choose the model with the touchbar in the future. It is one of the reasons I chose Pro 13 M1 over Air M1
The m2 and everything is great and was what I wanted but for the price I couldn’t justify it, I ended up finding an open box 13.3 m1 MacBook Pro for 800$. Received it, open the box literally looked like it was never used or set up. Purchased apple care for the 89$ a year until canceled. Seemed like a no brainer to me, plus with the money I saved I bought a carrying case and mouse to go with it.. before you go all out, look around and check out if you can find better deals, especially with the way the world and economy is right now. Touch Bar is where it’s at.
I got that exact laptop in August. It’s the first Mac that I’ve ever owned (previously they were provided through my school) and it’s been amazing. I love the touchbar
I reeeeeeeeaaaaaaally wish my ‘21 16” MBP had a touchbar It seems like a crazy useful tool, and it’d be so easy to do half-height function keys and a touchbar above
I loved the Touch Bar on my old early 2020 MBP…until it started flickering and randomly going out. I do wonder if it was due to the overheating caused by the Intel processor and if an M2 wouldn’t have that problem but I upgraded to an M3 Pro MBP and don’t have to worry about it anymore…
I have tried out the touch bar in my photography class in high school. I remember seeing the touch bar on the older MacBook Pros and I kinda thought it was cool. However, after trying it I didn't like it especially when I would type in Safari and I kept accidentally pressing the tabs while typing.
I seem to be going against the grain here by saying I think it's fine that it uaes the same chassis. In fact, I wish they'd sell logic board upgrades for Intel 13" Pros as an environmentally friendlier option than buying a whole new laptop. The only thing I like more about the 14" is the 120Hz screen, otherwise I feel like the 13" is pretty much perfect. It's certainly not broken.
No touchbar is a dealbreaker for me. Used a 13 inch MacBook Pro 2016 base model until this came out, I decided to get the fully maxed out model and I’m loving it so freaking much. Apple should leave touchbar as an option, make the function keys half sized and put the touchbar above it, ez fix
still peeved Apple removed the Touch Bar. LIke i guess it wasn't crazy useful, but I always liked the typing suggestions and video scrolling (among other things) I understand why people called it a gimmick tho I've switched to a desktop setup (using my Mac) and find myself wanting to do things that only the Touch Bar did. (currently still using my old mac so it's as simple as turning my chair and doing it on that keyboard. just funny how much I used it without realizing) In summary there are things the Trackpad and Touch Bar just do better. 🤷🏻♂️
Atleast Apple can make a custom chip based off M1 for rest of the laptop manufacturers to adopt it for windows and Linux platform but we all know that will never happen.
@@tyrantm7 English isn’t the first language I speak, I’m confused as laptops are usually used for one person??? I’m told “our” means more than one person but I’m not sure how that would work
Ive been wanting to get the Macbook Pro M2 14” and pretty much had my mind made up until I learned that I can get a solid discount buying a macbook through my university’s bookstore. Unfortunately however, they have every single macbook except the 14”. So now I’m really unsure. Any advice on the differences between the two / person preference as to what you would get? All input is appreciated as I’m not very tech savvy & haven’t owned a mac since 2017
The Macbook Pro 14" and 16" are leagues better than the 13" and the previous 16" (the model with just Type-C ports). Always go for either the 14" or 16" and if you're thinking between M1 or M2 series, either one is fine. M2 is just an incremental upgrade to M1 so you won't really notice much difference spec for spec.
Hello! Which one do you recommend between DELL Precision 5510 vs the Mac Laptop 2019 you are portraing on the video? Mainly for school work and some programming.
Quick question: Was there 2 MacBook Pros released in 2020? I was wondering if one was with M1 chip and the other one without , would appreciate any help!!
@@Yulianamartinez. if you’re looking to use the MacBook a lot to edit videos and photos then I’d go with the Pro 13. If it’s just for studying and entertainment then go with the Macboon Air 14 M2.

If you’re doing any serious video or audio the pro will be better because of the active cooling I upgraded from my 2015 just a week ago and the m2 is plenty fast for running all my tracking and mixing sessions I do edit the occasional video and it’s been a joy Yes the 14 inch and 16 inch are even faster, but it’s already such a jump in performance over my 15 inch and I saved around $600 spec for spec compared to the m1pro and m1max MacBooks which I used for a thunderbolt hub and some other peripherals and dongles For me it’s a great balance and being able to fit it on an airplane tray is an awesome plus
The new MacBook Pro m2 14 in is so heavy it’s one of the main reason why I’m getting the m2 pro 13 in it’s not as heavy it’s portable and the design looks cuter. The 14 in m2 pro might be the best laptop in the market right now but it looks like a big heavy rectangle I hate the design and heaviness. Apple have one job and they refuse to get it right 🙄
How about apple release a firmware to give us the option to not have our macs automatically turn on when i open the fucking lid or touch a KEY! Very annoying
Yes, the MacBook Pro is always good for editing, but if you have an extra budget to spend, consider opting for the latest M3 chip for a longer lifespan.
No I am having 8gb 512gb m2 With just 1080p 10min footage It just glitch Touchbar goes unresponsive Doing color grading also make it gitter I had tried doing on iMovie too Results are same I never thought I would face such problem with it Although it handles day to day task with ease But still I must say get 14inch I tried software update etc
Does it worth getting the 24 gb ram instead of the 16 ram for vray renderings sketch up etc is there going to be a huge difference ? Someone that can help ? Thank you in advance
This clickbatish title like 'think twice before getting this macbook pro 13 inch' takes away your credibility by a huge margin. The title fixates over some sort of a major fault with the product you are showcasing here yet, it is just a general review/pros of this particular model. You might get views, but as far as subscribers are genuine subscribers are concerned. No bueno!
