You are a genius, Miguel! ♥️ I’ll be sending a lot of my small business clients to your YT channel & website for this, especially. Insane amount of work has gone into this! 🙏🏻 Thank you!
For those who wish to decide between Thinkific and Teachable, here's all you need to know, that is actually rarely commented in comparisons: Teachable displays videos for the students in 720. This is: not in full HD (1080). Teachable doesn't display this information in their web-site. They say they support HD and 4K, but that is only to upload the files. Video is then down-sized to 720 for the students. I asked their support, and they told me exactly that. This alone is the reason why you should choose Thinkific.
New to online courses and new subscriber. Your meticulous approach is reassuring me that I'll learn how to build quality courses. Thank you so much for being "superior" to the other sites I've visited the past few days. Gracias.

I wouldn't in this case because you'd simply be doubling the work with no real upside to it. It only make sense to upload your course to more than one platform when that platform is a marketplace like Udemy and Skillshare as they will help you get students. On Thinkific and Teachable (and any other self-hosting platform without a marketplace) you are the one that has too do all the marketing. So using more than platform to self-host would simply complicate things, add more work, split your student base, and create confusion.
Hey one question bro .. I want to create an app that can be downloaded from the app store that contains my course is there a platform like thinkific that can facilitate this or how would you go about this?
I'm planning to create an e-learning business. I had in mind to create my own website (with LMS, forum, chat, etc.) using Joomla because it's the CMS I know. However, it looks like WordPress left Joomla behind. I watched one of your videos in which you concluded that using Thinkific/Teachable it's even a better idea than using WordPress because it simplifies everything. I understand that. I've never used Thinkific/Teachable but I feel it misses offering a better interaction between students. Using Joomla I can add LMS extensions, forum extensions, chat extensions, social networking extensions, etc. that create a richer environment for the student. I don't think I can do the same using thinkific/teachable, can I? If they offered me all these possibilities I'd choose one of these two platforms for sure. I'd appreciate it if you can give me any advice. Thanks
Thinkific is innovating at great pace. They added an app store recently with tons of options to add enhanced functionality. They also have a community option on paid plans.
@@GRUMO Thank you for the answer. I've been checking all the Thinkific options and I still think it misses lots of interaction. The Community option looks very basic and they make you pay much more. It looks like all these platforms have the same downside unless they would be a great option for me. Thanks again
Hey, Miguel! Thanks for that. What about Taxes? Thinkific doesn't do European VAT. If you sell a lot in Europe, you need to add Quaderno, or similar, to the workflow, which costs extra. Teachable takes care of taxes in Europe. If I may ask: how do you handle taxes when using Thinkific?
Sorry I have another question, only I can send url of my course if it free. For instance my friend or student can’t just send this FREE course to his friend so he can registers? Only if I send it to person ?
You missed a HUGE, GIANT point - Video Quality!!! Thinkific offers 4k - Teachable only 720p (as far as I know). Video quality is absolutely vital now and especially going forwards
@@GRUMO I emailed Teachable directly and they said they they don't support 4K.. Also, even if they both DID support 4K, I still think you should include it in the spreadsheet - it's an absolutely vital feature! Very useful spreadsheet and info though!
None, but EzyCourse. I believe EzyCourse is the best online course platform, as it provides an interactive and engaging quality learning experience to students with communities, groups and private chats, while also providing the customisation abilities allowing you to design your stunning unique website.
