Really? I quite like it, I think it looks better than the Steam deck even

Why would you choose the ally if you already have a desktop? It's just a smaller less powerful windows device. Where as the steamdeck compliments a desktop perfectly. Also valve will support the deck. Asus is one of the worst companies in the industry and is less interested in making a great product. Which is why the windows handhelds can only add more power to compete. The steamdeck has far more advantages that a Windows device will never be able to compete with. Optimization being a huge one.

@@thefinalboss2403 This comment makes no sense. The Ally X can play any game that your PC can play, you can't say the same thing about the steam deck. We are talking about some of the most popular games like Fortnite, CoD, Valorant, EA sports. So why would anyone want a device that can't not match up to your PC? Also you dont get access to gamepass, sony introduced a launcher that isn't support in linux, so you lose those games. Valve has to support their OS, it a way of ensuring you stay on their store. They don't want you to use others, so it is simple monetary gain. Asus did an amazing thing with all the upgrades they did to the ally, added another USB port, changed the SSD to 2280, gave you more ram, faster ram as well, improved the jotsticks and dpad, doubled the battery, improved the efficiency of the chip so you can get more than twice the battery life. What did valve do to the steam deck OLED asides from the screen? The steamdeck has more disadvantages than it offers. The Ally can play all the same games the deck can, plus many more the deck will never be able too. The SD has 1 advantage, and that is the price. It is inferior hardware, running on a limiting OS. There is a reason why Linux is less than 3% of gaming PC's.

Lol. Enjoy inferiority then. OLED doesn't make up for the difference in performance. Especially when the ally display is damn good in its own right.

Ive had the legion go, steamdeck and now the ally but definitely miss the form factor of the steamdeck

@bluefrecuencyfluctuating4128 may have to find a tech to install it. I prefer a dual boot option for this reason

You can run windows on sd lcd better than oled

Yep agreed, since at launch Steam Deck struggled to run modern AAA games lol. With Steam deck price, you better off build a PC that can actually play AAA games. I only use my steam deck for older titles and emulator.
