It was clear from the beginning Dorwinion would win... they're not called Dorloseon right? ;)

Chapter 1: The Thorn
Welcome to Dorwinion - the land of wine! Or atleast that’s what most people think. And whilst we are the finest winemakers in all of middle-earth, dorwinion does not actually translate to land of wine in any known language.
Dorwinion is Sindarin for “Land of Gwinion”, whereas Gwinion itself means “young land”.
And whilst our lands share a long and deep history it is no surprise that we are to be considered a young, upstart nation - for we do not carry the heavy burdens of war and our lands are not scarred from battle after battle. Or atleast that’s what the rest of middle-earth seems to think.
Dorwinion is a land of twin cultures - men and elves live in peace and prosperity. The men are more akin to the Eotheod that currently inhabit the lands of the great lake, the Anduin and apparently even as far south as Calenardhon. The elves of dorwinion are part of the Avari - the “unwilling”. Those that awakened in Middle-Earth yet never partook in The Great Journey. Like the Sindar of Mirkwood they are Moriquendi or Elves of Darkness for they never beheld the light of the Two Trees of Valinor.
The Avari of Dorwinion originially inhabitated the forests of Winddan - there, at the base of Mount Kinn-lai they build a grand city to rival even Nargothrond. Mornedhel they called it, home of the dark elves.
There they lived for thousands of years - drinking and dancing. Until, many years ago their city was sacked by an overwhelming force of wainriders from the eastern lands of Rhûn. Many Avari died that day, but some were able to escape. They fled to the lands of the river running and forged an alliance with the Northmen there. And thus Dorwinion was founded - and after a short, but brutal war - an uneasy peace agreement was made with the Easterlings of Rhûn - Mornedhel however… was lost for good, and stricken by grief - many of the Avari lead a life in exile, disappearing from the history books.
Only the remnants of the Avari that stayed in Dorwinion, know where their kin reside - and keep this a closely guarded secret. For those elves that have remained and integrated, life is peaceful and prosperous for The wines of Dorwinion are known throughout Middle-Earth and they are not sold cheap.
Being a land of commerce and trade, there is little need for a strong military. Although… that seems to be changing. In the south, in the lands of Mordor - a shadow is stirring, elven whispers of a kinsman named Anatar are getting louder. And it seems that the growing shadow has not gone unnoticed in the East, for even the dragon of Rhûn is awakening.
We cannot sit by idly and have our lands suffer the same fate as Mornedhel so many years ago. And thus the vintner Court of Caras Sant has appointed Hawin, son of Ranulf as Vine-Regent to lead the armies of the thorn.
In the meantime Nurwe, chief councillor of the Avari Remnant in Dorwinion leads a small army of Avari warriors to claim surrounding lands currently in the hands of brigands. Ever vigilant, ever watchful for any opportunity to reclaim Mornedhel, and restore the glory of the Moriquendi.
