I live in Kyushu, Japan. I also watched Godzilla-1 and am planning to build Shinden at the control line. I was surprised to see that foreigners are building and flying Japan's Shinden. Great performance! ! A full-size replica is on display at the Tachiarai Peace Memorial Museum in Fukuoka, so please come and visit it.

That is a nice spot it could be in Ontario. That is a beautiful aircraft! Deadly in it's purpose. Jet powered this aircraft could have cut deep into the B'29 bombing streams . An awesome design!

Amazing aircraft! Seems to be extremely agile, especially with the quick barrel rolls. Also has great acceleration considering the small prop. I look forward to seeing more, and look forward to seeing a full scale model.

震電，大好きです。三十年ほど前に翼長44cmほどのバルサ模型を作って、今だに待ち受け画面に使っています。

In present day, Mexicos' Oaxaca aerospace is building the Pegasus. It's a prototype for a light attack / trainer aircraft that could replace Mexicos Texan II . Like the Shinden, the Pegasus is a canard type aircraft.

This model is awesome! It is almost feels like J7W is turning around Reno race pylons. GJ!

Beautiful flying model. The owner shouldn't be shy of painting the model actual Japanese historical colors and national insignia. Also the owner should place a military pilot figurine inside the cockpit. Airplane designers factored in the weight of the pilot, commonly around 150-lbs plus weight of boots, uniform, parachute, pistol, et al. Men in 1944-45 were much lighter than today. Since the Shinden model flies pretty well, you can see that the Americans would have had a tough time facing the Shinden flying well over 400 mph at altitude, bristling with a lethal quartet of four, 30mm cannons ready to shred American B-29 Superfortresses out of the skies over Japan.

What a superb flight, and the landing was "par excellence," as our Gallic friends might say. It seems that high AOA landings and high AOA flight regime on this wing design is where it excels. Probably would have been a beast in combat, I dare say.

This plane is from the days when men designed and built airplanes from the mind not a computer and a CAD designer. All the blue prints drawn out by hand and practically no machine assistance except for machining lathe and a few other metal cutting machines in building the plane

The actual J7W1 was a failure, but this model airplane is a great performer. I'm Japanese, so I'm very happy that you made a J7W1 model airplane. Thank you so much!

実機は初飛行こそ成功はしたが...エンジンのトルクの影響かなのか、左への偏向が顕著でこの先の開発が容易ではない事が覗わせつつも、全力飛行試験を計画中に終戦となって将来を永遠に閉ざされた あくまでも模型であり実機とは｢別物｣だと解っていても、この特殊な形態でも此れだけ華麗な機動が出来るのを見せつけられると、実機も｢もしかしたら、いけるかも⁉｣と希望(妄想)が出てしまう(笑)良い動画でした

Originally this aircraft was a platform for a turbine engine and the propeller type was used for test flights, the turbine version was designed with shorter gears and slightly different rudders but never finished as a turbine version, maybe you could install a turbine and fly around I believe that turbine will fly much better less propeller turbulence and prop walk

A wonderful aircraft, the appearance of landing is very beautiful ... In the test flight of the actual aircraft, it seems that it was difficult to fly unless the control stick was pulled, probably because of a design mistake of the front wing.

When I first discovered this aircraft, I went looking for the source in anime; I had NO IDEA it was a real aircraft 🤣

もし、このタイプの研究がそのまま継続できたら、その後のジェット化と共にどんな変態飛行機が出来ていたのでしょう。操縦が難しいと言うことは機動性がある裏返し、返す返すも残念ではあります。
