That guy on Lead guitar is like the Jamaican Carlos Santos, he does a mean lick on HOOKED ON LOVE, Great Band among the Legendary Reggae Bands, with smash hits like NOW THAT WE FOUND LOVE and 96 DEGREES IN THE SHADE....love 'em as much as Bob's Wailers, true talent from a grass roots level....long live Reggae and it's Musicians
Saw them & Carlos Santana performed on stage they were on stage at the same time and did Expoduse awesome performance need I say more @ the Ohio theater in Columbus Ohio
I have no intention to hurt anyone's feelings with my opinion... Third World band was my favorite band for 40 years. They were all the best in what each of them did...the best vocalist, the best guitarist, best drummer etc. But then Carrot, Ibo and Willie left the band. They were still absolutely great... but since Bunny Rugs died the Third World band hasn't been the same to me. The death of Bunny Rugs was simply too much for the band. No one could replace Rugs. He's sadly missed by so many. So rest in peace dear bredren!
Well AJ Brown is probably the best replacement they could have hoped for. He sounds a lot like Rugs did. I have opened for them 4 times in the last 16 years and AJ does a good job.
OK I have opened up for them 2000, 2001, 2009, 2015. The last time was with AJ Brown which was the best possible replacement for Rugs and sounds a lot like them. There are only two original members left. I think Ibo is in Africa and the drummer is in Jamaican. Tony the new drummer has been with them for years and is friends with some musicians I know.
