Can't believe one of my favourite songs isn't a world wide hit, I would have expected about 20 million views for this, guess it's hard for us Aussies to go viral.
Well for one I can think that tops it, people don't appreciate true music and bands like Thirsty Merc. Really speaks to the heart lyrically speaking. Love truly does hurt.
wow supprised about the little amount of view, i thought this was a massive hit i remember hearing it on the radio and seeing it on rage all the time when i was like 10
I first heard this song on the radio when I was still studying at Flinders University and lived in a Franklin apartment Adelaide. At the end of 2007 I returned to Indonesia, and until now this song always reminds me of the good times in Adelaide. hope someday will come back
This song was belted out by myself and the lads last night as we brought in the new year and were sitting around at about 3.30am..... It was pure bliss
How good is this song, written, played and sung by the band unlike many other of todays so called Artists. Very Very Underated band ill give you 20 good reasons why you should follow Thirsty Merc and this is at number 1
Dear rai, 7 or so years ago you played at a free concert for youth day in sydney. I was about 8 at the time and my sister and I snuck into the mosh pit. I remember hearing your song and falling absolutely in love with it. I spent the next few months listening to the radio and watching video hits just waiting for THIS song. Before that I never really bothered to listen to music. And because of you, i discovered the love of music :) i doubt you'll get this message, but thank you so damn much xP
I love this so much. What brought me hear today was hearing this song in Woolies and i found myself singing in the aisle not caring who heard haha Anyway, life is strange, i hope Rai saw your comment. It made me smile anyway :)
Thirsty Merc are honestly so good. So funny I was so young listening to this music and now I’m 27 and think the lead singer is hot and not old. Woop woop relove for this song in more ways than one 😉
Very underrated band, saw Rai perform last week with The Carprettos - it was one of the best concerts I've ever watched next to Lady Gaga and now I cannot chose which I liked better 🤣❤️
If Rai Thistlethwayte had been born in a world without music in it , he would have invented it because he could not have done anything else, he was born for music ,he is music. He is an exceptional human !!!
I have this on CD somewhere. Will have to go looking and plug it into my portable CD reader on the PC. Bloody oath... all the gadgets that come and go!
The WORDS.....the WORDS, who has a heart> Who cannot hear the WORDS and not feel their pulse race and their heart go zing, this is a once in a lifetime song with the most brlliant words, as many have said..."why was this NOT a worldwide hit?" it seems so unreasonable that it was not.
I have been wanting to see this band since I was a kid & saw them 2 weeks ago in Melbourne. And it made me feel exactly why I wanted to see them for so long. Incredible.
this was played at my little brothers funeral. most amazing boy you would ever meet. died at the age of 12.. sometimes i wonder why doctors even have a fucking title. half the time they have no fucking idea what they are doing. rest in peace josh, your beautiful. can't wait to see your face again,
Singstar Party Hits. anyone? 12 years later and I still pretty much know it to heart, wow. Only difference now is that this song now has meaning to me 😢
I love this song, but it's so hard to listen to. Every time I do a flood of good but painful memories come back and I break down, Hayley my love. I will always love you, may you rest in peace.
I guess the same could have been said of "The Groop" and their song in 1967.............."woman you're breaking me down" Better than any thing on the US charts in that year.
