Stay away from that chip, it has 25% of the L3 cache and it is nerfed to kingdom come. The 3500x or 3600 are cheaper on AliExpress

Yours is long gone. But there are def some gamers out there that will trade their kidneys for that 4090. They are std free too for obvious reasons

@hades66 nope, there is a solid amount of room for air flow. I tested this in my hot garage (I live in Texas) and max it hit was high 70s low 80s

@dannyking4138 yup, the Ryzen 3600 is all you need for the low end atm and it’s ridiculously cheap. We invested in a good case for this build so you can keep it and upgrade the parts when you actually need the performance down the line. Build smarter not harder 🧠

@dannyking4138 it is if a spending more on a cpu wouldn’t net you any gain. We are gpu bound with this pairing. Spending more on a cpu is a waste of money here unless you need the multicore performance. I wanted to show off a $550 build the audience could be proud of. A cheapo case isn’t going to give you pride in your build -plus $60 for a case with fans included is a great price and very inexpensive for cases Appreciate your comment. The 3700x will perform the same in gaming! This is a waste of money for gamers. More cores won’t make a meaningful difference in 99% of games. Check out my video titled “Don’t upgrade your cpu” But I see your point, if your goal is pure performance, do this. Our goal was to make a $550 gaming pc we are proud of
