The 17th century is such an overlooked time for fashion which is sad because this time period has absolutely stunning fashion! My personal favorites of this century is the 1640s all the way to 1690s! This century as a whole really deserves so much more love and attention. I’d love to have a couple of different dresses from this time!
Obviously this style came back into fashion like in the 1720s and 30s, and then the 1820s and 30s and a little into the 40s. But strangely there's elements I see into the 1890s and 1900s (beyond the sleeves). Like There's the off the shoulder element that appears in the 1890s... but is more popular of the edwardian era, and the flat front with emphasis on the shape of the back is very edwardian s-bend (minus the pigeon bust). It's just very interesting because all of my favorite fashion era's share the same elements just remixed and restyled
