My guess would be something regretful from foolish teenager-hood (e.g., cutting in line repeatedly, trying to sneak in without paying, etc.). I don't see her being the type to start bar fights or anything like that
Wow, so big! But beautiful inside & out. I was curious to see the interior & wasn't disappointed, though I can't imagine ever staying somewhere this size. I do love the tour of the surrounding area and rating your food at Peep. That was a sad looking bun😢 so I hope it tasted good. Good to have Justin back since you both have such good rapport!
What an amazing transformation! If only the people who went to school here could see it now! It just shows what can happen in 150ish years! PS on Sundays, did it also serve as a church?
From the host! "The school house was originally built in 1879 and operated until the 1930s as a school for the younger aged kids. At one point there was a smaller building on the property for the older kids. The school shut down in the late 1930s, possibly due to the onset of WW2. The building sat vacant for nearly 40 years until a realtor purchased the property for his real estate business in the 70s. He is responsible for turning the one room schoolhouse into a 4 bedroom home. It was operated for a real estate business from the 70s until the mid 90s, when it was used as a medical supplies business."
Lovely building. Always wanted to live in a school portable with wall of windows on one side and wall of blackboards. I prefer the furnishings that follow with the period to honor the structure. Being a mid century modern myself that style just never rung my schooled bell. It was kinda cheap minimalist back then and always looks that way to me. That’s my 2cents for what it’s worth. I’m happy for all that come to enjoy this restoration and accommodations. I also respect the owners for their vision and efforts. Thanks for sharing.
The schoolhouse is cool but I esp enjoyed seeing the Loveland Castle ("Chateau Laroche"). I think it's so fascinating how it was built by one man, Harry D. Andrews, a Boy Scout troop leader and WWI vet. He began it in the 1920's and worked on it for a span of 50 years, using stones from the nearby Little Miami River. I live in Ohio, not far from this area....been to the castle and KI as well. This was fun to see this area featured! What the heck did your wife do??!! 😆
Wow! More of these. The bigger stays are so neat. If you can ever get up to near Niagra Falls region I'd love to see you guys do some reviews on places in that area. Also, thanks for continuing to follow-through with local places to eat! So valuable. As an Ohio native and a frequent visitor of Kings Island throughout my lifetime. If you happen to do any more Air BNB's in that region you GOTTA check out the pizza in that region at a place called "Two Cities" (should be able to find them on Yelp) where they specialize in both Chicago (the best) and New York style. I'm not affiliated with them in any way, just a huge fan of the taste. I've been to Chicago (never New York) and think they are even better at the craft.
As a former kindergarten teacher I find this amazing. Are you aware there is also a restaurant not too far from there called “The Schoolhouse?” It is delightful as well.
Good Afternoon Levi, This is a Beautiful Airbnb conversion from being a school house. Very spacious and comfortable. "Happy Resurrection Day" Thanks Levi Enjoyed and Blessings 🙏❤️🥰😇 From Pennsylvania,USA
This is such a cool idea!😮 Looks amazing! They saved enough from the old school house to make it look interesting and converted enough to feel cozy!❤ I love the brick walls! And the idea with the upstairs windows is awesome! Never seen anything like this before! I would visit kings island immediately!😁 love those stuff! Ps: will there still be coffee in august? I'm coming back to the USA then.😊❤
Believe they're not all the small-town to Jersey the very small ones usually you come across someone who has done that with the old schoolhouse of the town and older churches
I truly enjoy your tours of Airbnb properties and your descriptions of the decor, etc. But, I have one ask. PLEASE - there is a big difference between a fireplace and a woodstove. As an example this dwelling has a woodstove. It is like nails on a chalkboard to hear it referred to as anything other than a woodstove. I have lived in beautiful homes all my life that have fireplaces. Beautiful edifices built into the structures with hearths, mantels, chimneys and a firebox for burning wood, or , today of course, there are electric fireplaces. But, woodstoves are free-standing objects, made of metal, that burn fuel (usually coal or wood) and have stove pipes for ventilation. Thank you.
Schools are haunted tho lol😂 it seriously does resemble a church. Ok I have it back castles are haunted lol great ending let us know how you escape next video! 😅
