I bought a new 69 Javelin in October of 68. Blue with a wide white/red racing stripe down the sides. I loved it but the family grew and the car didn't. It got slammed bad in the rear end one day. We were hit so hard the front seat frames were bent. We had it repaired but the shop did a crappy job. It looked good but it never drove straight after that. You were right about the exhaust rusting out, we had it totally replaced in it's 2d year. I sold it to a friend the next year, but now I wished I had just put it in a garage and pulled it out a few years ago.

I'm 65 years old,let me tell you about the 69 290 2bbl I had, in 1985 dad gave me his with 48,000 miles, at 45,000 new heads, at 47,000, new transmission, every year, that's every year! New master cylinder, every other year, the door windows would fall down off their tracts, the head liner came down on the freeway, sold it in 1991 to buy in reno nevada, with a very bad oil leak at oil pan seal, you had to jack up motor for that repair,but it did make me a good mechanic, thanks!

i had one of these and it had a six cylinder engine and standard shift. It lasted over 100,000 miles and was eventually sold. AND it was the same color as the one in this video.

These cars are more desirable now than in the 60's. Dodge Charger, GTO, Mustang and Camaros were far more popular.
