Not the same. In a 1v1, you check up with the ref. Defense has to stay ready. Can’t shoot a nasty break, walk around the court and expect the O to wait. Na. Maybe a 1v1 with no ref. But this kind of 1v1. Offense controls the flow. Come on man.

Was it really necessary after winning on an extremely easy/unfortunate situation? Skoob said it himself. Since they both have a personal duel going, you’d expect a more honorable win. If scoob didn't stop to wipe bottom of his shoes he would've made it in time, you can see qel not even lookin in his direction, just the ball. He took a quick shot like anybody would being passed the ball or if someone was playing defense w/ a low posture. Idk why you dick riding like you could even beat qel let alone skoob. Ref should give the ball first to the defender. Then the defender give it back to the ref to make sure that he is also ready to defend then the ref will give it to offense.
