The turbine wheels are my favorite for old school ford trucks. They have become harder to find and can be pricey when you do. A great looking wheel for the period.

Can’t hardly beat those ole Fords. I’ve had probably 40 of them over the years. Some restored, some just mud trucks, some just work or farm trucks.

My favorite truck ever. Almost bought 1 in high school in 1990. I had 2 options. A grand for either a 1979 green F-150 4x4 short bed, or a 1957 Ford Fairlane, 2 tone blue, all original except for the transmission. Sadly it was a 4 door, but at the time I figure a 79 F-150 will always be easy to buy, a 57 Fairlane, not so much. Blew the motor in the Fairlane 3 months later, being 18 years old and stupid. I do miss that 3 on the tree at times.

I was never much of a Ford guy, but back in the early 80's I got my hands on a 1971 Ford Ranchero GT that had a 351 Cleveland with a top loader 4-speed trans, and a 9" posi diff. That car gave me more of an appreciation for Fords.

I had a 1979 short bed step side Ford 4X4 back in the late 80's. Black with gold pin stripping powered by a 351 M with all Edelbrock carb and intake, Performer cam, lifters and valve springs and Hooker headers. It had the C6 automatic with power steering and brakes and was a fun truck to drive.

I was 18 in 1978. The 79 Big bodied Ford Trucks and Broncos had come out. The Big foot Truck had come out also. My friend had a Bronco White on top Bright Yellow on the bottom. Jacked up with Very Big Tires and rims. Mudders we called them. My brother in laws little brother had a 79 Ford Pick up Dark Green Metallic paint with Black interior. Big Mudder tires. Can still hear the whining sound from the tires. Had great times then. Going Off Roading. Then washing off the mud. The Car Washers didnt like the mud. Shawn.

2 Ford trucks of my youth come to mind as favorites. Both were 1966 Ford 4x4's. My brother had the 1/2 ton green and white on in 1975. A local logger had a 1 ton 1966 4x4 flat bed shop truck with a diesel in it. I think it was a Detroit if memory serves me correctly. It was loud and dark metal flake green. I last saw it in summer of 1981 when I was running a 396 4 speed Camaro.

My parents bought a 79 f250 2 wd long bed brand new back in the day .I do contractor work and a lady calls wanting a front door replaced on her house lo and behold there sits ma and pa old truck in her yard .she got a new door and I got the truck ! What a deal .
