To be clear, the battery can be removed, it just doesn't pop out with ease like most ebikes I review bit.ly/async-L5 - Click here to get $50 off (you can also see how the battery comes out here)
@@animejanai4657 I just really don't care for them. Maybe that would be a good review for him to do is suspension seats. It'd be real good for this old guy since he's the same weight and height as me. Along with the quality of his reviews, I especially like it since we're in the same size and weight. Makes it really accurate for me! I'm looking for something that I can easily do 40 mile round trip and tow a tiny trailer. I would use it to go to a nice fishing spot at a lake. I need something as comfortable as possible with the damage I have in my spine.
@@rayjay8322Ah, you are not needing front or rear suspension, what you need is mid suspension. It is usually only offered on the Indonesian e-bikes, so good luck finding them. But just know they sell them in the tunnels of Indonesia hidden from government. 52 v 60ah madness

The only battery for sale at the company website is for the A1 which does allow replaceable battery packs $700. There is no replaceable A3 battery pack.
Sweet! I just came back from Italy and did an 'e-bike' tour of the Florence hills. I was surprised/shocked to see that e-bikes in the EU can't have a throttle, they only work if peddling. Any e-bike like in America is designated just like a motorcycle and has to follow motorcycle laws.
Why would you want to have a throttle on your electric bicycle? That's the most stupid addition to a bicycle. Is there a simple device to help Americans with obesity. And what do they do? They put a throttle on the bike 😂
The charger not charging is one of the big issues I've noticed on my L5 too. I'm also impressed the app worked with you at all. The screen brightness actually lowers itself automatically when you have the lights on, likely to reduce glare if you're riding at night. I do find the bike has power when you need it. I regularly attach a trailer for groceries or for taking my dogs out with me, and the bike powers through like it's not even there and doesn't disappoint.
@alansantos9023 the thing is, I really want to recommend this bike. It's so fun to ride and looks fantastic. Async support is totally nonrespinsive, and I've had many issues with cheaply used parts within the first month (teeth breaking off of the cassette, rear brake failing, electronic issues with the speedometer dropping out, charger issues.)this bike isn't exactly easy to work on either, and I'm afraid to mess with any of the electricals at the chance of voiding any part of the warranty that support should wholly be honoring. I wouldn't recommend this bike just on my experience
Your video's are always entertaining 😀 i cruise through your hometown almost everyday on my Ecells Monarch. I leave from Chesterton on the Duneland Trail. I haven't seen any tents in the old town yet 😂😂 Keep up the good reviews Matt👍
I think your Facebook popped up on my feed saying a person you may know? I've bought different bikes through your links. The electronic world is crazy anymore🤔
I couldn't live without my Bosch flow app so much in there for adjusting the power outputs low amdnhigh torque at taken off speeds or top end and the quick change from about 10 different ride modes at touch of a switch GPS, tracking locking and if you have an autoshift device connected like shimanos app you need that for adjusting the autoshift settings makes all the difference not needing to manually change gears!
Those nine gears look very thin. It's that feeling that they were stamped out of a piece of sheet metal and will round off if I pedal the bicycle for 75 miles without ever using the electric motor.
Matt, I was going to tell you, but you already figured out about the battery. I enjoy up your reviews and was thinking out the L3., and reviewing the bike.. I really enjoy step throughs, I have been on the L7 and I really enjoyed. $3999 puts them smack in where a lot of Mid Drives all seems to be priced , They do make pretty decent bikes. Since there are now are so many ( Resellers) of cheap bikes it’s getting reality crowded) and folks are really getting confused and a lot are getting stung by resellers that only care about the all mighty dollar ,and no form of service and zero support. I can’t tell you how many folks I have helped over my 20 plus years having e-bikes in helping them set them up , but when they break them. Now we are just telling folks to slow down , think , and watch the video we did on Cadence vs torque sensor bikes. I hate cheap cadence bikes, and so many people go out and see a pretty bike and buy the first one that peeks there fancy. We tell them No and here’s the difference. Thanks for making me chuckle with your reviews. Oh and I did the same thing you did when you bumped the peddle on the 5 star., and launched the bikeAll I did was break the LCD., and make me dislike cadence bikes even more. There’s a definite place for cadence bikes, It’s just too bad that they put them on so many really cheap bikes. I have seen in my 20 years of having e-bikes, every person who’s gotten hurt it’s been on a cadence bikes.. Keep the reviews coming. ( Dude) Ron Instant Power 322
Never been a fan of fat tire bikes but, they would be great for hunting, snow, sand riding. If your not religious about cleaning the drivetrain however, I wouldn't want to ride it in rough conditions unless it was belt drive.
I have kept an eye on async since you reviewed their mid drive mtb. I am not a huge fan of fat tire ebikes - it's unnecessary imo. I hope they make a standard 500w 2.2inch tire ebike. However no ability to quickly swap batteries is a hard no from me
In various states they class ebikes in several classes. Those are divided at top speed levels. I don't know about your location, but where I am this falls under the level that requres a license tag and an "m" designation on DL
Your video's are always entertaining 😁 I cruise through your hometown almost everyday on my Ecells Monarch. I leave from valparaiso & catch the duneland Prairie trail. Haven't seen any tents in the old town😂 Keep up the good reviews 👍
Yeah I agree there are some devices that don't need an app. An ebike is one of them. In fact I feel like I'm getting "Apped out" what's next an app for the toaster? An app for the toilet? Lol.
Nice looking frame change the breaks and forks to RS or Fox it'll be a nice bike think that's onenthe first I've liked for a Hub drive ebike there all ugly and not thought out in the way of design but this looks nice!
72V RAWRR MANTIS X 62Miles ECO MODE 72volt 30AH SWAPPABLE BATTERY 3.6S 0-30 MPH 50MPH TOP SPEED 6500W MAX MOTOR POWER 28N.M MAX TORQUE 220lbs MAX PAYLOAD 139lbs WEIGHT $2,999 pre-order now!!!
I always get a bike and things go to hell on it, got me all OCD to get an ebike, looking for low maintenance, was thinking bout t1ST, was bummed nomad is cadence.
After owning a 60v 50mph scooter i dont want anytging else that can get 40mph. Sold my ebike and waiting on my wired bike to come in. Everything else from now on needs to be 60v or higher , im done with the 28mph world
😳 "I don't like apps for Ebikes!" Well I guess not if you can lock yourself out-- or if someone else can lock you out of your own bike! Lol! ...Man, what a TRAP! 🤣😂🤣
I do not want the display that big at all actually i want it as small as it could be just a couple of buttons the mph or kmh and distance and battery indicater and assist level on the smallest posible all in one it does not need to be that big its ugly too
Wonder if you ever read any instructions? Never review anything before reading the entire instruction manual.... and stop guessing "what if's" and "maybe's" At 6'5", is your brain too close to the sun?
