This 52-year-old Texas man walks 12 miles to work 5 days a week 

Walking is what keeps people alive, the most longest living people today do this cause it’s the most natural way of being. He is doing it right, I walked to church 4 miles and man did I feel good at church for the first time without falling asleep. If you look at this man, he also look healthy for his age. Like walking like this humbles a person. Just cause it’s all you have and when you do it so many times you don’t care to even have a car. You just walk.

What was the point of this story? That he walks?!?! Hell Salvadoreños walk 1500 miles to get to America. Venezuelans walk 2500 miles. Cubans float 300 miles. Again I ask what was the point of this and my story?!?!

I walked 12 miles today for the exercise it's hard but anybody can do any number of miles in a day be it one, three, twelve or twenty five miles

My Father walked to work 5,6 7 days a week. Worked from 6a.m until 10 or 11 p.m 4 of those days. I would wake him up at 4:30 a.m he'd get ready and walk to work, rain or snow, 100° or -1° . Did not matter the weather. He has 4 kids to feed, a mortgage, regular household bills, Never had time to "not feel good" and not go to work. So im not sympathetic to this story. 😢😢😢. But rather say , are you looking for a hand out? I hitched hiked for about 3 or 4 years until i saved for a $500.00 car.

I'm 46 years old and I walk 4 days a week and look at this 60 year old (52 year old at the time of this video) doing 5 days a week and he's still chugging along! WOW! 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮

Marginally It is more expensive to walk than drive. 1 mile walking consumes 100KCal or 0.116 KWH . Gasoline car with 25 mpg consumes 0.04 gallon per mile or 1.336 KWH/mile. so it takes 12 time more energy to drive a mile than walk. But Gas is cheap compared to food. A Gallon of Gas has 33 KWH energy .At $2 /Gallon the cost is $0.06 /KWH . He needs to eat food to replace the energy used by walking . One Big mac has 540 calories (0.6276 KWH) and costs $3.98. 3.98/0.6276 = $6.34/KWH. So in Summary Big Mac energy costs 100 times than Gasoline energy and driving consumes 12 times more energy than walking so walking costs 8 times than driving the same distance

What was the point?

He is only got himself to blame for not willing to invest in himself with a car.
