This 600HP Supercharged SLK55 AMG Is DOWN RIGHT EVIL! 

As a Mercedes employee, I can tell ya this little pocket rocket is a monster even in stock AMG form. With 600hp? Ridiculous!

Been for a drive in a 2006 SLK350 and I thought that had pretty impressive power and acceleration. Cannot imagine that SLK55. It would be just insane! Beautiful car! Thanks for an awesome look at another car you don't see everyday!

I had a decatted & tuned slk 55 pushing 430 hp & man was it stupid fast & smoked some pretty fast cars miss it like crazy cant imagine 600hp in this

I own an immaculate '07 SLK55 AMG, and it's a damn MONSTER! Best car I have ever owned. The front brakes are 6 pot, not 4 as you say in the video. They are MASSIVE.

I've had my 2006 SLK55 since 2008 and it is a long time love affair. The engine is just so strong in that body. So I can't image how it would drive with the super charger. I would love to drive one as I could be tempted to upgrade.

The simple reason Mercedes did not offer a manual transmission is that they just dont have any manual that could handle the V8 torque.

Another great review Jonathan. Love the variety on the channel. An SLK 200 can be referred to as a Hairdressers car. But not an SLK 55 These are a lot of fun in stock form, and very tuneable. With the Supercharger it certainly goes hard, has the whine, but, yes, traction off the line is an issue. Definitely looks like a mini SLR. Love it Fantastic Even the Kangaroos came for a look ! BTW In the R171 series, these came stock with the M113 motor. NA 5.4 litre V8. 5439 cc 265 kw stock is correct. At 1.35 you quote torque at 509 kw… Typo It had 510 nm stock. The latter R172 series of SLK 55 had the upgraded M152 motor. It was now 5461 cc ( 5.5 litre ) and a power boost to 310 kw / 540 nm stock. 🚗 💥 💨

Got my 2005 Kleemann chip tuned, its a beast. But with the Supercharger, cant get better than that.

I would estimate that I’ve watched this video 6 times or more. Can’t get enough of this superb supercharged SLK 55 AMG. This example checks all the dream car boxes.

I have an 07 SLK55 and a 20 C63S. Wasn't aware of this package, might have to upgrade my SLK to the Kleeman S8. Love the additional power this video shows.

Even an e55 with 470 hp is crazy been in one and was my favourite feeling power from the factory tbh

I have a Kleemann S8 car also, you are right, it never gets old even after 4 years! I just got a new lower pulley to up the boost another 3 lbs. They are a ton of fun.

German pocket rocket.. these had the 5.4L SOHC (3V) V8

If there's a one second delay to shift with the paddles there's something wrong with that car. My slk 350 shifts much faster in manual mode (paddles about 200ms) than in automatic comfort mode. In comfort mode it could take a second but it's just a press of a button to have it in manual.

Check Engine light has never been more clear

Nice car! But actually I'd say go for oesterle Performance in germany they can build this car to 6spd manual or give the gearbox a special remap(the only tuner I know of for the r171). A better and more modern gearbox for the car would have been the zf8 Box.

Rossco. This SLK has 6 piston brembo calipers up front with the performance package 2 piece rotors. It has the same 4 piston brembos on the rear that a Mitsubishi Evo 7/8 or 9 has on the front. What do you mean it’s not enough? NO WAY you felt brake fade ever on that review.

Brake upgrade? 6 pots up front, 340mm rotors. What kind of upgrade do you need?

3:29 Folks from outside of Oz....yes, meet the scourge of proud car owners over here. Kangaroos....not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to road sense as you can see. I currently have 'roo damage that needs fixing and my last car was written off after hitting a 6 footer at about 110kmph on a freeway! They can just pop right out in front of you. They're unique and great.....but they're crazy!

Those damned roos getting in the way between your filming car and the SLK... Mate of mine hit one going up from Brisbane to Caloundra in a company car (crappy little Nissan I think) and it did all SORTS of damage, banged him up a fair bit too; about the size of the ones jumping into your shot here so they're no small deal at 100+km/h

I remember years ago seeing a video of an SLR engine dropped into one of these SLK's, and it ended up racing an Enzo which it did pretty well against - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OVDlx9qsq0w.html I can only imagine this would be a very similar feeling car. You can really tell in gear, it has some power from these fly-by shots.
