Knot's Landing was my favorite of the prime-time soaps.

Marilyn Monroe is still considered the standard of Hollywood beauty because death froze her image at 36. But she would've turned 96 this month had she lived. And her old age would've been no less shocking. It's just nature.

I miss the days of Dallas, Knotts Landing and Dynasty. Those were the days when you looked forward to the next episode. You can’t say that about the shows today.

I ABSOFREAKINLUTELY LOVED both Dallas and Knots Landing. But of the two Knots Labding is my FAVORITE ❤. The WHOLE Cast was Fabulous🎉. I wish it was available to stream somewhere. 😂

Knotts Landing was my favorite soap opera, even above Dallas.

I watched Knots landing & i loved the show. Great actresses & great actors. I wished they would do re runs of this show i'd watch em. Loved the show. I never liked mash but my siblings did. I loved Dynasty & Dallas & knots landing as well.i was a big fan of these shows.

She was so attractive. Why on earth do have this drastic surgery and end up looking far worse than if she had aged naturally.

I was a Dynasty fan back then... in those rare moments I watched Knots Landing her character always seemed very distressed and needy. She had a wonderful run in Hollywood. Huge body of work she should be proud of. Well done Joan!

Knots Landing was that girl! I LOVED that show and hated when it came to an end. I loved it better than Dallas and Dynasty, but I watched all of them and Falcon Crest. But Knots Landing was my #1.

She aged like we all do, so don’t be disrespectful.

She was no spring chicken back on Knots Landing. That was a long time ago. I was a teen back then and it just doesn't seem to have been that long ago. Time flies by and we watch yourself fall apart day by day.

Joan Van Ark has been married to the same man, her high school sweetheart, for almost 60 years... She has a beautiful daughter who has her own successful career in entertainment... She's had a long and successful career both on stage, and in film and TV... She's a big part of her community where she lives, and has many friends... We should all be so lucky to have a life like that

O.M.G., I loved Knotts Landing. It still remains one if my top five favorite shows of all times. Many years ago they put re-runs on and I avidly watched again. When it was on originally I was working in a bank and I and and the other tellers could not wait to get to work the next day to discuss what happened the night before on Knotts. Boy were those the good ole days

I loved Knots Landing. I loved Dynasty and The Colbys and liked Dallas. But I was a huge daytime soap opera fan, now almost none of them exist.

She is 80! How should she look …especially after all her surgery pushed on her by society.

Did you know Knott’s Landing was created before Dallas but it was shelved and never came to TV until after Dallas became a hit and then they spun off Knott’s.

Excessive cosmetic surgery and an eating disorder? People who are absolutely skeletal are bad candidates for plastic surgery. If she put on about 20 lbs, the skin on her face wouldn't appear so taut. Lots of Botox gives the face that waxy look. My brother-in-law refused to operate on any patient that was reed thin. He would prescribe Megestrol and have them return in six weeks, a bit more plump.

So, did she and her first husband stay together? It’s kind of hard to tell because you keep slipping from reality to fiction.

Knots landing was my favorite then falcon crest. Dallas and Dynasty were good shows too.

Every man's but one then. She definitely wasn't mine, far from it.

Ladies out there in Hollywood, if you are considering plastic surgery, think. Take a look at Linda Hamilton in "Terminator Dark Fate". From what I understand, she's had no plastic surgery; unless she's had surgery since that movie. In "Terminator Dark Fate" Linda looks very hot and sexy to me. And natural. Beautiful. Don't do that knife thing. Eventually, it is going to wear off. And you may look worse after it wears off, than you would have if you had not had the surgery. Linda Hamilton, to me was extremely beautiful in "Dark Fate". She looked natural.

I hardly remember her, was she in "Dallas" 😮

LOL! I watched Dallas for a while. But I became disgusted when Sue Ellen went back to JR and vowed to never watch it again. I didn't. None of the other night time soaps of this kind interested me. I watched St. Elsewhere and SOAP, but that about covers it. Sad about Joan, though. I wish these folks would stay out of the surgeon's chair.

Well, Hollywood, has a lot to do with actor, going under the knife. In Hollywood, age, or looking old, is definitely a career ender. So for a bit in the news, or tabloids, actors will do some crazy things. Silence isn’t just a killer on air, it kills your career. So as long as people are speaking your name, you’re golden. Why do you think, all this has been actors, are constantly popping off on twitter? You all know who, Paul McCartney, is? Well he and Kanye West, were doing a collaboration, and his fans didn’t know who, Paul, was. They thought it was nice of, Kanya, to give him some support, you know, allowing him to profit off Kanya’s name. And Paul, is famous even today and now think about old nobody’s, that haven’t been on screen for awhile as a star.

Actually I only ever watched Dallas.

I never watched any of those shows but I guessed who killed JR because the actor responsible was leaving the show.

For some reason knots Landing was my favorite night time soap i think because it was not a the ultra rich . I did see the 'wedding stalker; tv film Joan was very good very unlike val ewing

And I'd probably had My First wo who ugh 😩😫 rise in the Levi's moment's as an Adolescent Boy, gazing at Her, Stunning Face, and Other Attributes. Looking at Her Transgression of Bueaty, too almost a Troll image? Is Ghastly to Say the Least about Her Current Situation. Miss Van Arch is like the Reality of Sleeping Bueaty, Who has Woken up? To resemble Rip Van Winkle instead of the Youthful Vibrant Joan, that the Malicious Surgeons Said She Would Become Again. The Facts are Stated, that Vanity, and Bueaty are Only Skin Deep. Well I Certainly Hope Well for Joan too Have the Best She Can in The End? Since it Seems She Deserved it. Thank You for Sharing.

Like all other people, she grew older. That’s what happened.

She reminds me of an ex wife I was married to for about 5 minutes too long. Beautiful lady physically but turned 50 and being bipolar and a raging alcoholic aged 20 years in 5 years. So glad I fired her as she bankrupt me emotionally and financially. Passed away at age 72 last year , sad but glad she was no longer in pain.
