@@jakemccoya lot of post secondary state athletic programs still have age requirements. I'm not sure for 8th grade, but I know my state doesn't allow anyone over 21 years of age to participate high school athletics.
@@davidthebroddy9347 Its pretty obvious. Reclassing has exploded over the last few years. It’s rampant. Kids are repeating 7th and 8th grade to get an advantage all across the country. The genetics from your parents argument is an excuse. AAU and high schools are excepting altered or false birth certificates all over the place. It’s really unfair to the kids that are working their tails off. It’s sad.
@@bighanks1263 Bro that might be true but sometimes y’all are accusing them and sometimes they could be there age it’s just how they look and stuff. You might not know if it could be genetics from there parents, it could be true.
technically if ur counting hair its about 1 inch so ur 6’11 and technically if your wearing shoes thats another inch so 7 feet and technically in the morning when you wake up your spine is less compressed which adds about an inch so that’s 7’1
I remember in 8th grade we played another middle school that had two tall players, one was 6’ and the other was 6’2”. At the time we thought they were giants so I can only imagine what 6’9” looked like.
They do something called grade backing where they fail/repeat a grade in 6 7 or 8 grade so they are older bigger and stronger than others. They might not be but still crazy nonetheless
Ain’t gonna get no sympathy from me… whose choice was it to turn out small & shrimpy? Instead of lifting weights every day & pushing your focus & determination. That kid who got no recognition only has himself to blame
I thought of that movie scene as SOON as I saw this whole team of Men with middle school age children.. they ain't slick they just swapped out there kids info and birth certificate, I bet everyone one of them Is a Jr or the 3rd etc😂😂 that much easier
There were definitely kids like this that existed in the early times of basketball, but no one talks about them because social media didn’t exist. Social media is absolutely huge for all these future NBA players I guess you could call them because it gives them a bigger audience.
Of course! We played a highschool Shelby Broadstreet back in my day, that had a freshman guard that was easily 6'5 and 2 D1 recruited all-americans 6'9 and 6'6. We also played another team Oxford Chargers and the 2 guard was 6'7 and their 5 was 6'10. Our tallest player on a good day was 6'4. We beat both teams by the way.
@@gabrieljohnson4213 this isn’t a contest. I’m just saying. There were probably studs we missed out on because we didn’t have any way to know about them besides tv and newspaper. And maybe computer.
@@gevoface YES, they both were tough teams because you can't teach height LOL. But we used what we had to our advantage, sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. But we kept playing. I'm sure they were doing the same.
I have a 6th grade friend who’s 5,3 and his brothers who are in 7th and 8th are both 6,2 I’m just 4,8 as 6th grade dawg I’m only a spam dribbling point guard that passes good and can shoot loads of middies on tall peeps
Well the future has finally arrived... This is the real life middle school version of Futurama. When the professor created a super mutant basketball team to beat the Alien Harlem Globetrotters for Earth's honor... Right Infront of our very eyes.
Bro I’m 6’7 but damn this newer generation is going to make 6’7 the new 5’7. And then if you’re not at least 7 feet tall the nba won’t even consider you. Crazy times we’re heading in.
6’7 will never be the average height. Taller kids are more attracted to basketball and are more likely to have came from basketball families. The average height for newer generation is nowhere near 6’7
@@youngnas15 what is best sport for my kid. he will be avg height, or slightly lower. everyone in our families are pretty much average. soccer, or baseball or both? tennis?
Praying to go against teams like this when I start playing basketball next year. Im a 5’9 15 year old freshman who’s trying to learn my own way to play basketball if that makes sense. Ima do good in the future but for now I just gotta keep practicing
Love the game but also terrified. Because we got bigs diversifying their game, learning different ways to score and even dish the ball but starting to lose the inside game.😢
It’s fuckin wild that they still have that little bit of awkwardness in their movement but they’re throwing down tomahawks and splashing tough 3s in game
They so damn big for they age and young they body still growing and ain’t used to them being that big when they hit high school and develop its all she wrote for other players💀
I'm very proud to see all these middle school kids going somewhere with their life they are awesome I'm very proud of you kids go ahead young Brothers do your thing. 🤾🤾🤾🤾🤾⛹️⛹️⛹️⛹️⛹️⛹️🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾🤓😎🤓🙆🏾♂️😃😃😁🤓
I’m 12 years old 6 foot 150 lbs and I am determined to dunk by 8th grade ( I am currently in 7th) so does anyone have any tips on how I can get my hops up
i live here in phoenix and i was in 6th grade and i had a basketball game and where i played they had multiple baketball courts and i could see delton prescott dunking in pregame warmups and he was only 1 grade ahead of me and there i was standing at 4"10(im 5"8 2 years later) while i see someone dunking
I remember playing for a traveling team back in 7th grade. We would go to the vegas classics and always had to go against teams who had 1-3 dunkers. Good times.
And these kids have not fully mastered their movements, and still getting used to their size… if they keep perfecting their craft, and somehow stay on the same teams… that would be amazing to see a big 3 combo like them going into the NBA🤯💪 I wonder how many titles and records they would get🤔
@@NoneOfyourbusiness-lr7yb it was a joke. And yes i have met 13 year olds that were taller than me and im 6'4". joke wasnt cause they were good is why they held back. joke was cause they so tall they mustve been held back. sorry you got offended. tell your brother congrats for being so good. but also tell him if he gets to the pros dont blow all his money on big houses, cars, jewelry, and partying. Save the money and live off interest rest his life when done playing. Also, Iowa and Iowa state (my 2 home teams) are good schools in nice cities with friendly people and worth looking into when choosing a college.
